Worth every penny
I hired Allyson to help me through my divorce. My ex wife was/is extremely high conflict and her attorney's were not much better. They used unscrupulous and dishonest tactics against me to attempt to keep my son away from me. Allyson knew what to expect before it happened and how to handle it. She was very proactive and not reactive which helped me win the 50% custody I was trying for. In fact, I believe had I decided to go to trial, that I had a great chance of getting full custody but I did not want to keep my son from his mother. Allyson did an awesome job of keeping me calm and from reacting in a bad way to the things I was being accused of. I never once doubted what Allyson suggested and the end result turned out exactly how I had planned it. I'm so glad that I used Allyson and not a discounted attorney. I'm a firm believer in you get what you pay for and it was evident in court that there was no comparison in the experience between Allyson and the opposing counsel.

Above and Beyond
Allyson and her team did an amazing job to help me get everything sorted out. My divorce was a contentious mess and after three years of nightmares, I brought this all to Allyson. Within several months Allyson was able to work with the other side to mediate out most of the concerns. We had a trial that was concise, despite the upheaval of divorce, I can say that I was pleased with the overall outcome. Allyson and her team are extremely knowledgeable, friendly and attentive to your needs. Plus, Allyson has excellent working relationships with many other outside professionals, that if needed, will work with you and can help expedite your case. If you are looking for someone to assist you in this process, I would highly recommend Allyson.

First Class
I find Allyson Hughes to be very professional, ethical and devoted to her practice and clients. Allyson devotes many , many hours to the legal community to improve quality and professionalism in family law. Her office is responsive and familiar with all the most recent decisions by the appellate courts in family law. She deserves the highest level of trust in a very difficult area of practice. This is the firm to turn to in Pasco county for the best representation.

Excellent Attorney
Honest ,professional, and effective. Honesty is not always a word that you associate with a lawyer, but Allyson is definitely that. I chose her because of a recommendation and because she was supposed to be the best board certified divorce lawyer in the area. In her office, she set a professional tone and explained in plain terms what I could expect. I had visited someone else who promised me more, but rather than sugar-coating things, she gave me a realistic evaluation of my situation, which was not what I wanted to hear at that moment, but something I needed to. As things progressed, Allyson gave me good advice on handling me kids and my assets. In court she was well-prepared and the judge respected her. Looking back on it, Allyson served as a mixture of coach, psychologist, mediator and high-powered lawyer. Overall, I feel Allyson did an excellent job and I recommend her.

Best Advice
I saw a few different attorneys before choosing one to represent me. My divorce was complex on several levels. Attorney Huhges gave me the best advice of the others within the first 15 minutes. I retainer her and thank her firm for a great outcome for me and my children. A++

| Consulted Attorney
If I could give zero stars she deserves it.
I went to consult Ms. Hughes many years ago when I needed to divorce my abusive husband. I was very distraught and emotional and in need of professional legal guidance and advice. She turned me down outright and refused to take on my case with providing neither a valid reason nor an explanation as to why. She lacks compassion and empathy. I expected better but apparently that was too much to ask of her. Don't bother with this attorney.

Response from Allyson Hughes August 21, 2023
We're sorry about your experience. For some, divorce is one of the most emotionally charged periods of their lives. We try to show compassion and understanding to each of our clients and prospective clients. Through the experience of our years in practice, we've discovered that occasionally we are not a good fit for a client. We do our best to clarify that possibility before your first consultation to avoid disappointment. Still, some will not be happy about this. Now, like many professionals, we value client ratings, so we're confused and disappointed when a prospective client, one who we haven't represented, gives us a poor rating only because we decided not to work with them. In the end, we're grateful for our many happy clients and we're confident that honest client reviews reflect the integrity and hard work of our staff.
