Nancy Hutcheson Harris

Words can not fully express how fortunate I felt to have Nancy Harris from Harris, Hunt & Derr, P.A. as my legal representative in recent family law proceedings. She is extremely attentive and knowledgeable in the collaborative dissolution process and worked diligently to ensure that I was informed ...and felt fully supported throughout the process. Collaborative divorce is a recent update to using litigation for separation and she proved herself to be extremely knowledgeable and supportive to ensure that everyone was protected, especially when minors are involved. I highly recommend her as legal representative in all cases regarding family law.

Nancy and her associate Cory were extremely attentive to an international divorce that could have been drawn out and messy. I was not planning to write a review of my attorney and am typically a bit skeptical of lawyers based on my background as a PhD in Communication Studies. That said, I feel compelled to write a review of Nancy Harris and her law firm Harris & Hunt. Nancy Harris was absolutely fantastic in assisting ...me with my separation and divorce, including the smallest details. If you are in the Tampa Bay area or anywhere close and need an attorney for any family issue, particularly a divorce, I would strongly recommend a consultation with Ms. Harris. She was incredibly attentive from the outset, extremely fair with her pricing including a surprisingly generous assessment of her own time, and knowledgeable about both the relevant legal questions and the overall process. I never felt like I was out of the loop and I know she fought hard for my rights while keeping my own sanity in mind. I have two children and her focus on the custody questions was a relief and ultimately very successful. Her firm was also helpful in preparing for an equitable distribution of assets with my ex-wife and I always received timely and useful replies to my queries. Hiring her was definitely a decision I am glad I made--her expertise was well-worth the expense and I am confident I obtained a fair arrangement and a much better settlement than I would have without her firm in my corner. Typically these are big moments in someone's life (it was for me) and Nancy Harris is the kind of attorney that is comforting and a strong advocate on behalf of her clients. I was not disappointed at all with my choice and feel as though she is the kind of attorney you need for such a difficult process.
