Allyson Hughes is a board-certified Marital and Family Law attorney and a Fellow of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers (AAML) — two of the most prestigious distinctions available to family law practitioners. She practices law exclusively in the area of Marital and Family Law, bringing decades of experience, academic excellence, and recognized leadership to every client she serves.
Ms. Hughes earned her law degree with honors from the University of Florida Levin College of Law in 1987. During her time at UF, she served as a Teaching Fellow for Appellate Advocacy and earned the American Jurisprudence Book Award in Family Law — an early indicator of the expertise and dedication that would define her career.
Maintaining her office in New Port Richey, Florida, Ms. Hughes represents clients in both collaborative and traditional family law matters throughout Pasco, Pinellas, Hillsborough, and Hernando counties.
Leadership in the Florida Bar Family Law Section
Ms. Hughes has held numerous leadership roles within the Florida Bar's Family Law Section, including:
Chair, Family Law Section of the Florida Bar (2007–2008)
Editor, The Commentator, the Florida Bar Family Law Section's publication
Member, Family Law Section Executive Council (2000–2005)
Chair, Family Law Section Continuing Legal Education Committee (1999–2001)
Chair, Family Law Section Legislative Committee (2003–2004)
Community and Local Bar Leadership
Ms. Hughes has also been a driving force in her local legal community. She is a past President of the West Pasco Bar Association, the founder and Chair of the West Pasco Family Law Committee, and a past Board member of the Tampa Bay Academy of Collaborative Professionals. She also co-chaired the Tampa Bay Bankruptcy Bar Continuing Legal Education Committee from 1998 to 2000.
Ms. Hughes currently serves on the Florida Bar's Grievance Committee as Chair.
