My Sarasota and Manatee County Florida legal practice focuses on assisting clients in the areas of estate planning, probate & trust administration and inheritance disputes, and business & corporate law matters. I also assist clients with the drafting of their pre-marital agreements.

From 1998-2019, I served as a Supply Corps Officer (Contracting and Logistical Planning) with the United States Navy Reserve. I am a veteran of Operation Enduring Freedom and Iraqi Freedom.  

In addition, I have published articles and been quoted in The Florida Bar, The Rhode Island Bar, North Carolina Bar (Elder Law), Forbes Magazine, Leimberg (LISI), Association of the US Navy, Reserve Officers Association, MSN Money, etc..

Marc was a great choice for probate attorney!
Marc helped guide us through processing my father's estate through probate. He was happy to answer all our questions and provided a concise checklist of things we needed to do during probate. The probate process takes time and Marc was always there when we needed him. He also quoted us a reasonable fee for his services and we are 100% satisfied with the results he achieved for us.

Knowledgeable and Nice
I called Marc Soss because I couldn't get a hold of my estate attorney. Marc happened to know my estate attorney very well. I had a question pertaining to one of the Trust documents my estate attorney drafted and Marc listened to my concern and was able to clearly give me a definitive answer. He was truly amazing and helpful. Marc immediately answered my question completely and thoroughly. He is awesome (and nice too)!

Estate planning from a professional and thorough attorney.
I recently had to change my will, health care proxy and power of attorney documents. I was impressed by how fast and efficient Marc was. He was very considerate with scheduling our meeting and of my time frame for needing the documents quickly. The price was reasonable and he was very attentive to all details. I was able to compare Mr. Soss’ services to my previous experience with an out of state attorney. Marc did a better job in every way.

Great Lawyer
My husband and I moved back to Florida and needed legal advice for our estate, including our Last Will & Testament, Durable Power of Attorney, Health Care Surrogate, Living Will and Pre-Need Guardian Declaration. Excellent Lawyer high ethical standards
I hired Marc after reading reviews on Avvo. I hired him due to high ethical standards described in the reviews. I was not disappointed. Marc finished our postnup in about a week and had no issues editing the initial draft. We agreed on around $1000 for the postnup, but Marc actually did it for 800, since he was able to do it faster, than anticipated. I was expecting 1000-1500, since this is how "around 1000" usually turns out, so I was really pleased and surprised, that he worked rather in my interest, than his. I will recommend this lawyer and come back to do my will and estate planning. I highly recommend Marc! Very honest lawyer with high ethical standards!

Positive experience with Marc Soss
My wife and I recently became Florida residents which was an opportune time to update our estate plan. After researching our options we connected with Marc Soss. We realized quickly that Marc had a breadth and depth of knowledge in all aspects of estate planning. We met with Marc in his office and started the process of clarifying expectations and information gathering. Within two weeks we were presented with a first draft of all the components of a comprehensive estate plan, including our Wills, Trust, Power-of- Attorney, Health Care Surrogate, Living Will and Pre Need Guardian. Marc was thorough, professional and addressed all our questions. The final version of all documents were executed in Marc’s office and two weeks later we received a bound copy in the mail. Along with the documents a key aspect of Marc’s service was help navigating the complexity. For example, Marc provided a letter of explanation that offered practical guidance for us notifying banks and financial institutions of our new Revocable Trust. I had questions that Marc responded to by phone or email – always in a timely manner. Without hesitation I recommend Marc’s services.

I retained Mr. Soss to update my Trust and Estate Documents. At our 1st meeting, Mr. Soss quickly assessed the inadequacies in my documents and promised a quick resolution to that and all related issues. True to his word, Mr. Soss contacted me within the agreed upon time frame and set an appointment to review and execute the documents. Note: there was no interim, nor need there of, communication between our 1st meeting and the conclusion of our business. What I thought was going to be a very stressful { and expensive } event in my life, turned out to be just the opposite. Mr. Soss put me at ease immediately and throughout our business event.
