As a dedicated IRS Tax defense attorney, Mary has been helping clients get tax debt relief by negotiating currently non-collectible status, offers in compromise, installment agreements, innocent spouse cases, audits, removing levies, releasing liens, and negotiating penalty abatement.
Mary’s career as an IRS tax defense attorney began in 1993 after graduating from Stetson University College of Law. She graduated from the University of Florida with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration Degree in 1988 and a Master of Business Administration Degree in Finance from Wake Forest University, Babcock Graduate School of Management in 1990. Her law career has primarily focused on IRS tax defense representation as well as estate planning and probate.
Mary is a member of the Florida Bar and is licensed to practice in the United States District Court, Middle District of Florida, and the United States Tax Court. She is a member of the Sarasota County Bar Association. As a native Floridian, she grew up in St. Petersburg and has lived in Sarasota since 1999 with her black Labrador Retrievers.
Florida Tax Attorney, Mary E. King Works Hard To End Your IRS Tax Problems.
I have helped thousands of clients put their IRS problems behind them. I have done everything from putting clients into currently non-collectible status (where the IRS no longer tries to collect on their account), offers in compromise, installment agreements, defending and arguing innocent spouse cases, audits, removing levies, releasing liens, and negotiating penalty abatement.
I think it is important for clients to have local representation where they can either call me or come in to see me whenever they are concerned about their IRS problem. I want them to feel like I am lifting this burden off of their shoulders so that they do not need to be concerned about it and can sleep at night. I want to be the buffer between my clients and the IRS.

Mary did it! It was a long and frustrating process... not on Mary's part but on the IRS process. She walked me through the entire process from start to finish, kept me up to date and made it happen. I am grateful to Mary and her staff and would recommend them highly.
Thank you so much for your kind words. We really appreciate you taking the time out to share your experience with us.
