Marc L. Shapiro is the principal and founder of the law offices of Marc L. Shapiro, P.A. Marc practices primarily in the areas of Plaintiff’s Personal injury and wrongful death cases, complex commercial real estate litigation, title insurance disputes, foreclosure defense, mortgage law, bank workouts, short sales and commercial and residential landlord tenant disputes.
Marc also represents and advises real estate investors and entrepreneurs in their transactional dealings including real estate closings, entity structuring and planning for both tax purposes and asset protection.
Marc L. Shapiro, P.A. was one of only eight law firms to be recognized as one of Southwest Florida's Lawyers of Distinction by Gulfshore Magazine (2006). Marc is also featured in the 2013 edition of "Strathmore's Who's Who Worldwide" for demonstrating leadership and achievement in his profession.
Marc frequently delivers seminar presentations on various real estate related issues, such as investing in foreclosures, buying through lease options, purchasing properties through probate and how to structure real estate purchases to maximize tax deductions and asset protection.
Marc has been cited in local media as an expert in mortgage foreclosure law and he has appeared on WINK news program as a legal analyst. Marc also makes a weekly appearance on the legal eagle section of the radio show “Real Estate Best Buys” which can be heard on Sundays at 10: on 96.1 FM, K-Rock.
Marc is active in the community and participates in raising money for the local chapters of Autism Speaks and JDRF (Juvenile Diabetes Research Fund). Marc has volunteered to serve as a judge for both the Collier County public schools Mock Trial competition and the Ava Maria Moot court competition. Marc also sits on the board of House of Gaia community learning center.
Marc is community minded and an advocate for Autism as well as Juvenile Diabetes. One of his favorite pastimes is to play the drums in a band with other professionals in our community. He volunteers often for different causes and participates in community's festivities on a regular basis.
Marc attended Kent State University before attaining his law degree from the University of Akron in 1992. He has been practicing law in Naples, Florida ever since.
Marc is married with two children, has a cat and a dog named Vinny. He enjoys sports, plays golf and tennis and participates in company athletic events.
