Great Help With Your Estate Plan and Elder Law Concerns:
I was fortunate to grow up in Pinellas County with my father as a well-known and respected attorney and community leader. When I started thinking about my own career, my father told me that he loved going to work every day and helping his clients the best way he could. With my father’s encouragement, my own passion for helping others and my love of creative problem solving, I knew that practicing estate planning and elder law was the career path for me. You will know I love my work as clients love working with us as well!
My estate planning and elder law practice is more than just my profession – it is my life’s passion. I understand the difficult decisions that my clients face when they are planning their estates, when they are experiencing health issues, and the affect their decisions have on their children upon their death. With the knowledge and the desire to help with the best solutions possible, I know that my clients are getting an estate plan that they, and their family, can rely upon to make sure they are provided for, their family is protected, and their legacy lasts for as long as possible.
I have been practicing law for almost 20 years and have seen a number of changes to our estate planning world. While estate taxes had been eliminated for many, I still saw problems occurring when a client died or became incapacitated. For years, I created my estate plans with a traditional “transaction” based mindset, where my clients paid for prepared documents and I provided them directions on how to “fund” their estate plan on their own. After seeing multiple problems occur with the “transaction” based mindset, I came to the conclusion that I should not just prepare a will or trust for my clients and expect the plan to work upon their death or incapacity. The reality is that the estate plan that actually works is where the attorney and client follow a clear process to create and implement a personalized estate plan together.
I take pride in giving each client personal attention, practical advice, timely assistance, and clear communication based upon their individual situation. We will take our time in discussing you, your family, your desires and your assets before deciding how to best proceed. I speak in plain English and know that you will understand the issues you face and how best to answer your concerns. Together, we will develop and implement an estate plan that follows your desires, protects you and yours heirs, and provides you piece of mind.
