Biography
Sean McQuaid has a presitigious reputation and the connections to make things happen. Mr. McQuaid is a past-president of the St. Petersburg Bar Association, which is an organization of 1,200 lawyers and judges in the Tampa Bay area. He served for six years on leadership positions within the Bar Association.
His legal practice specializes in serious injury cases such as car accident, auto accident, truck accident, motorcycle, e-scooter and e-bicylce, and wrongful death cases throughout Florida. Personal Injury Attorneys McQuaid & Douglas is a division of Battaglia, Ross, Dicus & McQuaid, P.A. with its primary focus on personal injury law.
Mr. McQuaid has been routinely recognized for his legal accomplishments and has been awarded countless accolades. Mr. McQuaid is a member of the Florida Bar,the Bar of the Federal District Court for the Middle District of Florida, the St.Petersburg Bar Association, Riverview Bar Association, and the Clearwater Bar Association.
In August 2010, Governor Charlie Crist appointed Mr. McQuaid to the Judicial Nominating Commission for the Sixth Judicial Circuit. The Commission is responsible for recommending judicial appointments to the Governor in Pinellas and Pasco counties and he served in this capacity for almost 5 years. Mr. McQuaid served on the City of St. Petersburg Nuisance Abatement Board and was elected Chairman for 2014 and 2016. Mr.McQuaid also served on the Executive Committee of the Suncoast Chapter of the Make-A-Wish Foundation. He was the President of the Harbor Isle Homeowners' Association in St. Petersburg for 10 years and remains extremely active in the Community.
Mr. McQuaid began his legal studies at Stetson University College of Law in 1997. During law school he was a member of the Moot Court Board from 1998 through 2000 arguing in competitons across the country. He joined the firm in August of 2000 and became the fastest lawyer in the firm's 67 year to be made partner, then a named partner, and then President.
Mr. McQuaid prides himself on being competitve, athletic, and able to outwork the competiton. While at Princeton University, Mr. McQuaid was a four (4) year varsity letterman in baseball where he played catcher. Behind the plate, Mr. McQuaid was the field general and in his senior year, he was captain of the Princeton Baseball Team.

Car accident result in St. Petersburg
Sean McQuaid did a great job for a family member after a car accident in St. Petersburg. She was rear ended at a light and had to go to Bayfront. Sean knew what to do and how to handle everything with the insurance company. Everyone has been happy.
