Two years ago my son was charged with Murder second degree. My family's life changed in an instant. On a Saturday morning I was faced with the emergent task of trying to retain attorney services. I didn't know what I was going to do, but I knew that my son needed to have representation ASAP. I prayed about the whole situation, and begged GOD for guidance, and then I made 30- 40 calls. I was then challenged with many closed offices, and promises of return calls. within a few minutes of calling Rickman I received a return call. I told Rickman the story as it was told to me. On a saturday morning before any payment was exchanged, he began the to collect all the information that he could get from the witness , visited my son, and even went to the site of the shooting to understand all the events of our nightmare. I was provided his personal cell number and he constantly updated me with anything new on his case. I could go on forever as to how much assurance he continuously provided. The end result was jury trial with a NOT GUILTY verdict. I am eternally grateful. Rickman is tenacious, knowledgeable, eloquent, and a force to be reckoned with in the court room. He promised me that he would be able to look my son in the face, and with all honesty be able to say he did his best, and that is what we got . THE BEST!

Criminal Defense Attorney of the Year

Mr. Rickman is such an exceptional and remarkable Criminal Defense attorney without question. Under unfortunate circumstances, I was charged with Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon and prior to an arraignment being scheduled, Mr. Rickman was able to get the felonious charges dropped in less than two weeks. Above and Beyond Expectations

I have never had legal trouble before, but I am very familiar with the criminal justice system, and expected my case to drag on for months, if not over a year. Yet, here I am, less than one full week after sitting in Mr. Rickman's office, explaining my case to him during our very lengthy consultation, with the charges against me being dropped. From the moment I signed the contract with The Rickman Law Firm, Mr. Rickman went to work. He was aggressive and extremely knowledgeable. He stayed in communication with me the entire time, which is so rare these days. Spectacular experience

Mr. Rickman was very professional, knowledgable, aggressive, prepares extensively and actually listens to his clients. He defended me as a part of "the me too campaign" where I was falsely accused of terrible allegations from an ex girlfriend that I broke things off with. Mr. Rickman was able to get this lawsuit dismissed the morning of the hearing. Best attorney in Florida. Communicates great and is genuinely Compassionate.

Anthony is one of the best attorneys in Florida. He is extremely compassionate and caring for his clients. He has helped me on some criminal cases, and a couple of my friends on some pretty heavy cases as a trial attorney. He also got a friend off completely on a DUI. The outcomes were better than expected. He communicated with me and answered all the questions i had. He did the same for 2 of my friends on smaller cases. I have unfortunately had to use legal advice quite a few times, and i couldnt recommemd a better attorney than Anthony. Thanks again!

Outstanding service!

I can’t say enough about Mr. Rickman. One of my best choices in life was choosing Mr. Rickman to represent me for a false battery charge brought by my now ex-wife who wrongfully accused me to gain an advantage in the divorce and take full and immediate control of all the marital assets. Thanks to Mr. Rickman all the charges were dropped and he is personally hand holding the expungement of the arrest record that potentially could prevent me from working in my profession of 30 years at another firm in the future. Through the course of these proceedings family heirlooms from 1917 were held by the sheriff – Mr. Rickman personally walked through the process to have the items safely returned to me. While the court process is painful and the past 3 years have been rough the whole journey has been far easier having Mr. Rickman by my side. He is smart, aggressive and best of all responsive – he always either answered my call or returned it the same day. You can’t go wrong with having Mr. Rickman on your team.

IF YOU WANNA WIN.... PICK ANTHONY RICKMAN!!!

Anthony Rickman was one of the many attorneys I had the pleasure of defending me here in Tampa. I'm not proud of that, but hey things happen and you can't always control it. In this case I was facing a felony charge and was obviously scared to death, I wondered who I would call because I was never satisfied with the outcome of past attorneys I had used in Tampa previously. Don't get me wrong they'll fight for you but there fight is weak compared to Anthony Rickman!!! They don't fight for the best result, they fight just enough for it to be ok and to see u content with the outcome. NOT Anthony, he goes above and beyond to assure that you (the victim) gets all possible charges dropped no matter the fight. He at all times reassured me everything would be ok and was always around to answer if I had any questions or worries, which meant a lot to me because like everyone eles you always predict the worst thing possible happening for an outcome. Will win your case at all cost! Best in town!

Determined, aggressive, straight shooter, focuses on the goal of your case and let's nothing get in the way; but a positive outcome. Provides clients with his personal cell phone, I had constant contact with Anthony the entire process of my case ,he responds promptly to questions via text. Anthony put the state attorney on speaker phone and allowed me to hear him fighting for me while the state uttered B.S.; this allowed me true confidence that this man was fighting for me. At one point during the case the firm put two attorneys on my case at no additional cost to me. A true legit trail lawyer in tampa. I could not be more satisfied

I am a middle aged professional who was arrested in an aggressive sting operation. I was charged with two misdemeanors. This was my first arrest and I am not from Tampa. Saying this, I had absolutely no idea who to call. The morning after the arrest I researched defense attorneys and leaned heavily on reviews while making my decision. I am happy that I found many reviews on this site and that I hired Anthony. Anthony and Holli were absolute professionals and were very proactive with my case. During my initial conversation with Anthony, he listened to my account and quickly communicated two defense positions. Upon further conversations he predicted the outcome of my case. Rightfully so, he was careful to preface his prediction upon my account of the events being true, but he was confident in his position. He backed up his prediction with legal precedent and his experience in similar cases. His confidence was not fabricated… it was the confidence that comes with years of experience in the court room. I hired Anthony that morning and he entered a formal “not guilty” plea within 15 minutes. Later that day he proactively notified the states attorney office that he wanted to speak with them before assigning my case. Later that same week he had a call with states attorney office and spent more than an hour with the attorney who was responsible for assigning my case to a prosecuting attorney. Anthony communicated a three page case study supporting our defense. This step was not successful and they ultimately assigned my case to a prosecutor… however, Anthony’s argument was elevated to a supervisor and set the record that we were prepared to aggressively defend our position. I firmly believe that this first week of a well thought out, proactive and aggressive defense set the ultimate dismissal of my charges into motion. The case was ultimately assigned and Anthony gave me a short list of information to provide. I did this and Anthony did the rest. I never even went to court. In short, after 60 days of waiting and having my case shuffled to three different prosecuting attorneys, Anthony was successful in securing an unconditional dismissal of the first charge, and a conditional dismissal of the second charge. I am now 45 days into a 90 day conditional period for the second charge. I already satisfied very manageable conditions and am simply waiting for the 90 day period to end. At this time, Anthony and Holli will expunge the charges from my record once and for all! In summary, • I am a professional person that was charged with two misdemeanors as part of an aggressive sting. • 90 days later the charges have been dismissed and I am 45 days away from having my record expunged. • I am 100% confident that I am in this position because I hired Anthony. On a personal note, Anthony and Holli treated me with respect and dignity. They did not cast judgment and focused on the task at hand. I paid for a professional defense and they supplied a professional defense, prompt communication, dignity and a dismissal of the charges. I could not be more satisfied. I went into this “thinking” that I made the right choice. Now, with the benefit of hindsight… I “know” that I made the right choice. If you need a defense attorney… you need to hire Anthony. Period.

Informative, and detailed.

I hired Mr. Rickman for 3 felony counts in which I was facing very serious repercussions. Through the whole case Mr. Rickman did a very good job of explaining things to me, giving me updates and keeping me calm. Not only did Mr. Rickman succeed in getting my charges dropped but he was also able to make me feel comfortable throughout the whole very scary process. Wonderful experience, better results!!!

Anthony Rickman worked an early termination motion for me and the entire experience was exceptional! I've worked with other notable lawyers in the past and none have matched the service in which I received from Mr. Rickman and his wonderful assistant Holli. I was kept in the loop throughout the entire process. I had spoken with other lawyers prior to going to Taracks, Gomez, & Rickman and ALL of them told me that there wasn't a chance of getting off of probation prior to the early termination date. In fact, one lawyer accepted payment and later called me to say that he spoke with the judge's assistant and she informed him that the judge was unwilling to grant the motion. Mr. Rickman did an excellent job of arguing in my favor and getting my probation terminated a year and a half early! What impressed me most was the fact that I was kept informed and the attorney made himself available whenever I had questions or concerns. I highly recommend Taracks, Gomez, and Rickman!!!

Saved my career

I walked into Anthony Rickman’s office with an unwinnable DUI case (BAC/Property damage). After reading the police report, I literally burnt every defensive bridge he could use. To my surprise after the initial consultation he said we could fight the case. Mr. Rickman and his assistant Holli were great during the whole process before the trial. The professionalism and knowledge I witnessed ensured me I made the right choice. We communicated on a weekly basis and they gave me a list to complete of necessary tasks for my case. Once trial day arrived Mr. Rickman and the prosecutor spoke with the judge while the jury was on recess. From my point of view Mr. Rickman’s aggressiveness flustered the prosecutor who tried to revert to a case from the 1970’s. The judge ruled in our favor and I agreed to a Reckless Driving charge before the jury’s recess was over. I never had so many people say I was lucky in my life. Thanks to Mr. Rickman and Holli, I still have my career.

down to earth and very intelligent

Mr. Rickman was the ideal lawyer to hire for my DUI charges. After meeting him and initially going over my case he gave me his complete honest opinion of the situation and explained a plan of how he was going to proceed given the circumstances. Obviously this is what you would expect from a lawyer, but his personality was the deciding factor and I knew I was dealing with a down to earth and intelligent person, and not some arrogant over-confident lawyer who was all talk. He and his assistant Holli always kept in touch with me and we spoke via email and phone calls and met at the office numerous times between when I hired him and each progressive step forward. After months of back and forth, the prosecutor was adamant about going to trial with my case and seeking a conviction. This led to trial prep with Mr. Rickman and myself a few days before disposition and I was confident we had a great chance to get the charges completely dismissed, as the prosecutors entire case revolved around 1 factor. The day of the disposition Mr. Rickman explained the situation to the prosecutor one last time and how the premise for their case was flawed and could easily be argued. The prosecutor offered a reckless driving charge on the spot. While confident we could still win in court, I decided to take the reckless driving charge since I essentially completed all of the punishment already and the fines would have been less than trial fees. I've told my friends his name in case any of them ever run into a sticky situation, and would recommend him to anyone else who ever needed legal counsel.

Sex crime case

I was facing some serious charges that carry at least 4 years in prison along with registering as a sex offender for the rest of my life. Anthony worked hard and diligently to defend me. He is always on top of my case, keeping me informed. He answered all my questions before I even ask. He always returning my phone calls. He went out of his way to get the best outcome possible for my case. As the result, I ended up with 1 count reduced to a non-sexual offense, only 2 years probation, withheld adjudication (no convictions). Thanks to him I avoided lengthy prison sentence and the infamous sex offender registry. He saved my future. Hopefully, I will not ever need him again but if god forbid something ever happen to me, he is the first person I would go to.
