Missing in action

Leisa Wintz is a complete quack. I have never encountered such an UPROFESSIONAL "professional". She only cares about money and overloads her cases at the detriment of you, your family and children. Multiple missed zoom calls over the span of YEARS; no call, no show, no reschedule blamed on COVID. Whe...n you dispute her overbilling and call out her lack of professionalism she will blow up on you and tell you basically she can do whatever she wants and you have to pay her because she is assigned by the court, what a racket. She will agree to something and then ignore all of your calls and messages for months when she doesn't follow through. Nobody involved in your case lawyers, therapists etc. can ever get in touch with her either. Do yourself and your family a huge favor, heed this warning do not hire this NARCISSIST and at all costs do not let her be assigned to your case.

Terrible Lawyer & Law Firm

I am writing to express my profound dissatisfaction with the services provided by Nazarena Hauser and Leisa Wintz, partners at Family Matters Law Group. Their conduct has been highly unprofessional and incompetent. Despite paying for their time, they consistently failed to return calls. Nazarena Haus...er initially responded promptly before being hired, but once retained, she became unresponsive, missed appointments, and ignored emails. Leisa Wintz exhibited rude and condescending behavior, frequently lying and threatening to drop me as a client without returning the retainer when confronted. Additionally, their staff repeatedly contacted me to discuss the same information, resulting in double billing for identical work. They also charged a flat rate, claiming it would be less costly than hourly billing. However, after multiple attempts to obtain a copy of my bill, which was only provided after I threatened a complaint to the Florida Bar, it became evident that they did not perform all the work they claimed. Most of the work was completed by their staff, not the attorneys themselves. This level of service is unacceptable and reflects poorly on their professional standards.

Completely Useless.

Stay away from her and her firm. No communication and if you inquire they charge you for reading the email. Leisa did absolutely nothing for ten months. Then refused to speak with me until I paid her $5000. Apparently family doesn’t matter. You’d be better off representing yourself than wasting money... on this useless firm.

Unprofessional and inconsiderate

I hired and paid Ms. Wintz a $3,500 retainer to help me with my divorce. She spoke with me on the phone twice for about 45 minutes and told me she never reviewed my file. 2 weeks before mediation she passed me off to a colleague, her covid shot conflicted with my mediation. I found a different attorn...ey. She refused to refund my $3,500.

Represents money, not her client

My ex-husband got everything. My ex-husband won everything he wanted. My lawyer only represented me to just to allow me to move out of the state. That wasn't much of a win since he was already saying he would let me. He was already willing to change the visitation schedule to match my schedule. I cou...ld have done all that myself, but I hired Leisa to help me win something. I got screwed over by my ex, and by my lawyer. She didn't even represent me. She wouldn't answer any of my questions. She scheduled a pre-mediation phone meeting, and she never contacted me. I called, and was told she would call back. I never heard from her. She knew I didn't have a job. So she only "represented" me to charge me more money than she was worth. Look somewhere else for a lawyer. Apparently my ex's parents paid for a great lawyer who can weasel his way for your benefit. Leisa Wintz will only weasel you of your money.

We are sorry that you were disappointed with our services. As you can see from our reviews this is not the norm. Unfortunately, your expectations were not reasonable and as a result you were disappointed. As to taking your money - it is an interesting perspective given you left owing me money. Hopefully, life has gotten back on track for you.
