Unsettling Billing and Ethical Concerns

I hired Family Law Matters Group for a family law case and after paying over $11,500 (total fees $19,000+), I was left unprepared for trial and professionally abandoned at the most critical moment. Weeks before trial, the firm suddenly claimed I owed thousands more, and when I questioned it, they ...tried to withdraw, leaving me no time to find new counsel. They admitted on record they had “no motivation” to settle because the judge denied their withdrawal. They also misrepresented my position to the court, failed to subpoena records, prevented me from presenting witnesses, and filed documents without notice. Billing included unauthorized rate increases, clerical work, and invoices that didn’t even appear in their ledger. If you want transparent billing and proactive advocacy, look elsewhere. I’ve filed a formal grievance with the Florida Bar to address these serious ethical and professional failures

Completely Useless.

Stay away from her and her firm. No communication and if you inquire they charge you for reading the email. Leisa did absolutely nothing for ten months. Then refused to speak with me until I paid her $5000. Apparently family doesn’t matter. You’d be better off representing yourself than wasting money... on this useless firm.

Represents money, not her client

My ex-husband got everything. My ex-husband won everything he wanted. My lawyer only represented me to just to allow me to move out of the state. That wasn't much of a win since he was already saying he would let me. He was already willing to change the visitation schedule to match my schedule. I cou...ld have done all that myself, but I hired Leisa to help me win something. I got screwed over by my ex, and by my lawyer. She didn't even represent me. She wouldn't answer any of my questions. She scheduled a pre-mediation phone meeting, and she never contacted me. I called, and was told she would call back. I never heard from her. She knew I didn't have a job. So she only "represented" me to charge me more money than she was worth. Look somewhere else for a lawyer. Apparently my ex's parents paid for a great lawyer who can weasel his way for your benefit. Leisa Wintz will only weasel you of your money.

We are sorry that you were disappointed with our services. As you can see from our reviews this is not the norm. Unfortunately, your expectations were not reasonable and as a result you were disappointed. As to taking your money - it is an interesting perspective given you left owing me money. Hopefully, life has gotten back on track for you.

Excellent client concern

The Solaris Law Group is a very compassionate law firm that truly cares about there clients. They are readily available, very patient and will make you feel comfortable while going through tough legal matters. Mrs. Morrill-Wintz will be very straight forward with you on her expertise and what she ...can accomplish for you. An Excellent and Compassionate Lawyer

I recently hired Leisa Wintz of the Solaris Law Group to represent me in a family law case. Ms. Wintz came highly recommended by a colleague of mine and now I understand why. Ms. Wintz approaches law with a rare mix of compassion and pragmatism. She honestly seemed to want to achieve the best resolut...ion for my family and to that end, she never simply told me what she thought I wanted to hear-- only what I needed to hear to make informed decisions. Ms. Wintz took the time to explain various scenarios and the potential cost and possible outcome of pursuing each legal avenue. Her advice was always about staying focused on the reasons I had hired her in the first place: The welfare of my son. The staff at the Solaris Law Group was equally attentive, candid and efficient-- always available to answer my questions and to lighten the mood with gentle humor when things got stressful. If you are looking for an honest, capable and compassionate lawyer to help you navigate the complexities of family law, I highly recommend Leisa Wintz and the Solaris Law Group.
