Biography
I am an attorney licensed in the State of Florida. I have been an attorney for two decades and graduated with honors from St. Thomas University School of Law where I was a member of the International Moot Court Team and a Judge in the Honor Council. I was an Associate Editor of the St. Thomas Law Review and an active member of the Hispanic American Law Society (HALS). I received the Book Award for best student in a subject in Constitutional Law, International Law, Comparative Law and Torts. I was included in the Dean's List for the semesters of Fall 1990, Spring 1991, Spring 1992, Fall 1992 and Spring 1993. I graduated in the top 5% of my class.
I was born in Havana, Cuba, but I have lived in the South Florida area for the last 33 years; I am married and have four children. I am a lifetime member of the Humane Society of the United States and a recipient of the 1989 Golden Paw Award. I am an avid reader and a weekend golfer.
