Biography
Norma Lorenzo, Esq. is the Managing Partner at Hermanni & Lorenzo Law Group. She is admitted into the Florida Bar and is a member of AILA (American Immigration Law Association). She has over a decade of experience dealing in a variety of complex immigration cases including but not limited to National Interest Waivers, Research/Professor Green Card (EB-1), Executive Greencards (EB-1), PERMS and various non-immigrant visas (including H1B, L, O, P, E, J and J waivers). She represents many large companies and is responsible for their immigration needs. Ms. Lorenzo also represents clients facing deportation orders and those in need of bonds before the immigration court. Ms. Lorenzo has worked for various firms both situated in Miami and Connecticut and has served as in-house counsel for an employee mobility company where she did not only in bound immigration visas but also out bound visas for countries including but not limited to Spain, Colombia, Venezuela and Argentina.
In early 2015 Ms. Lorenzo took on the position of Adjunct Professor of Law at Florida International University (FIU) College of Law, where she teaches twice a week. She is also very involved in her community and currently serves on two AILA committees and is a Board Member of the FIU College of Law Alumni. She is also currently President of her BNI networking group. She was recently awarded the 2016 Super Lawyers Raising Star Award, 2016 Top 100 Lawyers by National Advocacy, 2016 10 Best Immigration Attorneys in Florida, 2017 Top 100 Lawyers by ASLA and the 2017 Top Women in Law Award.
Norma Lorenzo graduated Cum Laude from Florida International University College of Law in 2005. Prior to that she received her B.S. degree in Chemistry from Barry University in Miami Shores in 1998 and her M.S. degree in Forensic Science from Florida International University in 2002. Ms. Lorenzo was Editor-in-Chief of the FIU Law Review and received the Publication and Excellence Award in 2005 for her services. She made Dean’s List for her excellent scholarship throughout her years in law school and received top paper awards in several classes.
