Imagine you filed for marriage-based green card. Your first interview went well. You got your conditional green card. You file i-751 a few years later and your spouse does not show up for the interview. The officer is furious. She sets up another interview in a few weeks. We come. She separates us. A...ggressively interrogates for 4 hours! 4 hours!!! I'm not kidding! Obviously, there will be discrepancies. I'm shocked. I don't understand why it happened to me. Maybe it was my stupid misdemeanor I was arrested for more than 10 years ago? The lawyer that I had at the time was useless. In 6 months I receive a letter that states that my conditional residency is terminated and I am officially on the removal proceedings. I panic. I ask my lawyer what should I do. She does not know. I lived here half of my life and don't feel like going back. 4 months go by and I receive an NTA (notice to appear). That thing looked scary. I start imagining life back home.
