Biography
Jonathan D. Esten is an experienced litigator who has helped thousands of clients litigate matters ranging from personal injury to murder and taught trial skills at courses for lawyers from across Virginia. Mr. Esten has vast trial experience, has argued cases to the Supreme Court of Virginia, and argued before the Court of Appeals of Virginia. Having served as a public school teacher, Mr. Esten uses his teaching skills to help his clients understand complicated legal matters and to clearly explain cases to the judge or jury in the courtroom. Mr. Esten graduated Cum Laude from the Washington & Lee University School of Law.
Repeatedly asked to teach trial skills and strategy to other attorneys, Mr. Esten has served as an attorney for dozens of jury trials including DUI, larceny, bestiality, robbery, and murder. In addition to instructing other attorneys at Continuing Legal Education programs, Mr. Esten has also served as an instructor for police officers at the Prince William County Public Safety Training Center.
