Kristen Marks is a Florida licensed Wills, Trusts & Estate Planning attorney. Kristen graduated from Dartmouth College in 1992 and then Magna Cum Laude from the University of Alabama School of Law in 1995. Shortly thereafter, she and her husband, Andrew, also an attorney, moved to the Pensacola, Florida, area to begin their law practices. Kristen began her legal career with a small Pensacola, Florida law firm for seven (7) years in the areas of Florida estate planning, probate and guardianship.

Then, in 2002, Kristen earned the privilege of becoming an Independent Sales Director with Mary Kay Cosmetics, a position earned by the Top 2% of consultants with the company. For the next six (6) years, Kristen focused on training and mentoring other women to build successful businesses for themselves. During that time, Kristen earned the use of and drove four (4) free company cars, including the famous Pink Cadillac for two (2) years.

In 2008, Kristen returned to practicing law, designing 'My Pink Lawyer®' to continue serving Florida women and their families with their estate planning needs. With her vast experience serving and mentoring women in the business world, Kristen now continues to serve successful, busy professional women in the legal world with their Florida life and legacy planning.

Kristen strongly advocates that designing a rich and meaningful future for yourself and your loved ones is the key to a successful life.

In her spare time, Kristen is avid reader of business, personal development and personal finance books. Kristen loves the beach, travelling abroad, and spending time with her husband and two college aged kids.

Kristen has run four ultra trail marathons (50K distance--34 miles) and has registered for two 50 mile trail races for later this year to bookend her 50th birthday!

Awesome experience

I consulted with, and then hired, My Pink Lawyer to draw up my estate planning documents. Kristen is very thorough and makes you think about things that possibly would never even cross your mind. Knowledgeable and trustworthy

My husband and I just finished up establishing a trust and doing our wills, etc with Kristen and her staff. She hung with us as we unintentionally drew out to almost a year. She is so very knowledgeable about property distribution and financial matters. Posed some very insightful questions and made realistic suggestions. I have and will continue to recommend her to any and all seeking legal services. I thought her pricing was also in line with the services rendered.

Excellent

I love the Pink Lawyer and office staff. They are fun, friendly, and positive! I used her service when my children were little. After everyone was grown and there were some changes in circumstances, I used her again to update it all. She hasn’t changed one bit in all these years!

The first time I spoke to Kristen was a bad day for me. My Mother passed away and I needed help with her will that had been written in another state. She explained some of the differences in Florida laws and told me she would handle everything and she did. We then met in person to go over the documents that she had for me to sign. She made sure I understood what I was signing and took the time to explain anything I didn’t understand. That was 4 years ago. In the last 2 years I have had questions about the property my Mother owned and an additional settlement that just arose. In both cases I either emailed or called Kristen and she got back with me and answer my questions. Not once have I felt she didn’t have the time for me or wasn’t willing to do whatever needed to be done. When we talk I feel heard! She listens to my concerns and validates them. The past 4 years have not been easy but I know I can count on Kristen when it comes to my Mother’s estate.

a very pleased customer!

Kristen did a great job of preparing my will. She explained everything that was important to me & assisted me in making decisions when I needed the help. She was very helpful explaining the points that I did not understand & guiding me with planning my will to fit my needs. She also gave me plenty of time to think about the decisions I needed to make. She was very patient with me when it took time for me to decide. I highly recommend Kristen!

Pleasant, personable and NOT pedantic.

Ms Marks changed my opinion of lawyers. It was our first visit and she was prepared to see us, set up a orderly approach to cover our 3 different legal issues and put us at ease. She translated legalese into easily understandable terms allowing us to keep up which was key to the decisions we had to make.

Wills and Estate Planning

Overall a great experience!!! The entire staff was professional, courteous and accommodating. Kristen walked us through the most important and usually the most often neglected process of giving direction from the grave. We had always talked about estate planning but like most couples procrastinated on it and dreaded beginning the process. Kristen's approach made it painless. She was able to address things we had not even thought of and guided us through the process like an old friend. We warned her of our earlier attempts at estate planning and how we failed to follow through. We made it clear that she would need to keep us on track until the job was complete and she succeeded. We feel confident that our end of life choices and concerns are complete and recorded.

Celebrating My Life

That’s exactly how I feel today after the finalized signing of my Estate Plan today! ( I almost had to hold back tears of gratitude) I am so proud of myself for getting up the nerve to contact the firm full of ladies! I feel a huge weight off me knowing that I will spare my children much misery and expenses when I do pass, and now I don’t need to waste time worrying on them. No matter how young or old, or how much money you have or don’t have, I know they can help you feel better about your future.

Everything I needed

Kristen helped me update/establish a comprehensive Trust and Will that ensures the security of my family.
