Mr. Gilliard represented a close relative of mine. I obseved his strategies on how his handled the case and his insightfulness toward my relative. No complaints. Kirk made it very easy to contact him as far as questions and issues throughout the entire case. very informative and made sure understood every step of the court process. I was expecting some lack of effort due to him having some physical health issues. but even with that burden he... still gave %100 toward the case. I dont even know where to begin to thank Kirk. I recently sought a second opinion from the well-respected attorney Kirk Gilliard as I was facing some major consequences in jail or prison and financial fines. I contacted Mr. Gilliard first for a consultation as my then retained and very high-paid attorney said there was “no hope.” After giving him... some info he offered to first look in to my case, which was in a major time crunch. Before I even agreed to utilize him, he made greater progress on my criminal case than my retained lawyer was able to in a six-month period. I am not even sure how he did it expect that he is very intelligent, a great negotiator and knows how to navigate the complicated (and often political) legal environment in Augusta, Georgia. My case was complicated and he made immediate progress and calmed me. I quickly hired him and discharged my previous attorney. Mr. Gilliard handled a rather difficult case that included multiple charges and a second DUI. I knew I was guilty and was expecting about a year in jail. As a professional and family man I was not happy with my potential consequences but my previous attorney assured me there was no hope for my case and that a year in jail was a “gift from the courts.” Well, after hiring Kirk Gilliard that greatly changed. Although I still pled guilty, my jail was reduced to a weekend scheduled around my work. He was patient with my fears of great retribution never promising me something he couldn’t give yet constantly assuring me it was going to be better than expected. And, it was! Much better. He has positive professional relationships with many local lawyers and judges and can call them or meet personally with them. He can do more for you out of the courtroom than most attorneys can do with a large team inside and outside of the courtroom combined. Thanks to Mr. Gillard I am a free man that maintained my employment and professional standing. He careful weighed my options and let me know the positive and negatives of each potential solution—and they were all solutions, not guesswork. I believe that he is the best you can find in the Georgia / South Carolina area—and likely beyond. I hope I never need such an attorney again, but if a loved one or I needs representation in the future, I know he is worth much more than he charges and will hire him immediately. My criminal case could have negatively harmed a civil issue as well. After the progress he made on my criminal case, I retained him for a civil issue as well. Again, before even hiring him, he made great progress. He worked magic in this scenario where several other attorneys said I had no hope. My life is back on track—mostly because Kirk Gillard made it so. He was a blessing to me. I have only accolades for his legal advice and representation.

I have not been able to talk to this attorney for weeks. He has had my case for two and a half years. He does not return my calls and lately I received a letter from his law office that he is no longer a partner with the firm that he was a part of when I hired him. At this time I am waiting for hi...m to give me a release so that I may contact a lawyer to complete my case. He is still not responding to me.
