THE TEAM OF ATTORNEYS HOWARD JARRETT WEINTRAUB AND BENJAMIN BLACK ALPER SAVED MY LIFE

Attorneys Howard Jarrett Weintraub and Benjamin Black Alper saved my life. In 2012, I had made a terribly stupid decision with another person to distribute kilograms of cocaine. Before this extremely foolish decision I had never been in trouble. In fact, the only violation I had ever done was runn...ing a stop sign. At the time I decided to distribute cocaine I was employed by the United States Postal Service as a mailman. The way the cocaine was to be transported to Georgia was to have my drug trafficking partner ship the cocaine from California in packages addressed to fictiously named persons at genuine home addresses on my mail route. The plan was that I would see the packages in my mail delivery bin and I would retrieve the packages before I left the post office building for my daily delivery of the mail and I would at the end of my work shift hand deliver the packages to the other person in Georgia. In 2012 I was arrested by federal law enforcement officials. Somehow my grandmother through her prayers to God, guided me to Attorney Howard Jarrett Weintraub and Attorney Benjamin Black Alper. When I first met with Attorneys Weintraub and Alper, part of our discussion included my attorneys advising me that under the United States Sentencing Guidelines and the criminal federal drug statutes I was looking at a mandatory minimum sentence of 60 months and a possible maximum sentence of 97 months. Under the brilliant and vigorously fought representation by Attorney Weintraub and Attorney Alper, where my attorneys won all three of their critically important objections to the Presentence Investigation Report, I was sentenced to just 12 months and 1 day in prison! This meant that I would serve no more than 10 months and 7 days of incarceration! If anyone had told me when I got arrested that instead of a maximum of 97 months Attorneys Weintraub and Alper would get me a sentence of only 10 months and 7 days I would think they were out of their mind. Now, I am telling anyone who needs a great criminal defense team that if you are charged with any federal or state criminal offense you must hire Attorney Howard Jarrett Weintraub and Attorney Benjamin Black Alper. They are miracle workers who really saved my life and I am confident they would do the same for anyone else facing a criminal prosecution. Thank you Howard and Ben! God bless the both of you!

Awesome in and out of courtroom

When you first meet been your first impression will be wow he looks young. Don't cast judgement until you read this. I currently have a federal case that has been going on since 2009. I just recently had a two day hearing where Ben took the lead role in attacking the prosecutors expert witness as w...ell as their theory. Not only did Ben meet my expectations but he truly exceeded them. He was very organized, methodical and absolutely NOT intimidated by the Government or their expert witnesses. In Layman's terms Ben was like a Lion in a cat fight ferocious. His calmness and precision timing of questions is something of beauty unless your on the other end. Ben not only is a awesome trial lawyer but he is also a genuine person who listens and cares about you as a human. I never have once felt like Ben has just given me Lip service, he always has been honest straight forward and concerned. When you hire Ben you gain more than a great Lawyer, you also gain a friend who truly cares about your case as well as you and your family. Bottom line is I am proud Ben is my lawyer and was extremely proud I could call him my lawyer when we were in the courtroom. I would recommend anyone who wants the best of the best lawyers to hire him, you will not regret it.

Faced 10 YEARS...Served 2 HOURS!

My case began in the summer of 2007, and the investigation by the Feds was complete in 2012, which resulted in a Federal Felony Indictment with my name on it. In the fall of 2010, I received a “target” letter from the US Attorney’s Office which basically said the US Government is going to indict you ...unless you come in and plead guilty. I called several lawyers and picked one based on what I thought I could afford. That attorney had convinced me he was going to fight for my rights and freedom, but as soon as I paid him he told me I needed to “man up” and plead guilty to the Felony Charges. I knew I needed a different attorney. My gut told me that if I could find the right Attorney there was a very small chance I could get a better outcome than going to prison. I searched the internet relentlessly and found Ben and after speaking with him I knew that he was the Attorney I needed to defend me from the 10 years in prison I was facing. Without a doubt hiring Ben was the best decision I could have made to protect my rights and freedom. When Ben handed me over 2,000 pages of evidence against me I thought it was the end of the road. On the other hand, Ben saw it as an opportunity to mount a defense that would ultimately get the indictment DISMISSED. Ben isn’t afraid to fight the Government every step of the way and based on my experience you cannot afford to step in the courtroom without him. Here I am almost two years later with my freedom, no Felony conviction, and my life back. Ben made all of this possible for me and I’m forever grateful.

3rd DUI

Over three years ago I was arrested for my third DUI this time with an accident. I hired Howard and Ben two years ago when it came up for trial. They were incredible. They told me that this was not going to be easy and made no promises of a great resolution. They told me some things that I could do t...o improve my chances. One of these was wearing a ankle monitor, which I wore for a year. I took all the classes/treatment/AA meetings they suggested. When it finally came up for court, the prosecutor reduced the DUI to reckless driving, no jail, no suspended license, a fine, a list of classes (which thanks to Howard and Ben, I've already done) and 1 year probation. I can not recommend this team enough. Through it all they were always available, whether by phone or email, and would respond quickly. If you need a lawyer do not hesitate to call Ben.

Just outstanding.

One of the poorer choices I have made in life (driving after drinking) was thankfully followed by one of the best decisions I could have made: retaining Ben Alper. I received truly outstanding professional advice and support through a stressful and trying experience. When I had a question, communicat...ion was fast and detailed and Ben made it clear that he was always happy to discuss my case. I will also say that the entire staff at the firm were supportive and genuinely caring. They obviously fully understand the legal processes but also that you are a human being in the midst of a challenging situation. Ben negotiated with the prosecutor and my potential DUI was reduced to a reckless driving charge. He also made sure that I had completed all the requirements in the plea as determined by the prosecutor ahead of the court date, so no probation. A DUI would have had a devastating professional and personal impact so this was a great outcome. Also worth noting that the judge actually asked in the courtroom if I realized that my attorney had worked out a great deal for me. Yes, I certainly did. Thank you, Ben!
