Benjamin Black Alper

Back in September of 2014, my fiancé was notified that he was in violation of probation for leaving the state without permission. Because we knew this could mean potentially serious jail time as he is a registered sex offender, we began searching for a good criminal attorney. We found the Law Offic...es of Weintraub and Alper and gave them a call and we were in their office the next day which was the end of September. Howard and Benjamin were so helpful and genuinely nice we knew and had faith that they could help my fiancé. My fiancé was not taken to jail until December 2014 for the probation revocation. As soon as this happened Ben went straight to work for us by reaching out to the probation officer and gathering up all of the necessary information to explain why my fiancé did not need to be behind bars. The probation officer was going to recommend my fiancé serve six months for the violation but because Ben and Howard worked so hard the day of the court hearing (March 2015) Ben convinced the probation officer to go with three months and the probation officer said he would see what he could do. Long story short, the judge agreed to the three months and my fiancé was released a week later! Had it not been for Ben and Howard my fiancé would have had to serve six months in jail possibly more. I am forever grateful for their assistance and aggressiveness to bring my fiancé home. I would like to also add that my fiancé and I are working class citizens and could not afford all of the fees up front but Ben and Howard worked with us until we paid the balance in full. They were never rude about it or anything and I appreciate them for that as well. I would highly recommend anyone needing a criminal attorney to contact their office because they are the best!

Ben Alper is one of the best attorneys I ever met. Thorough, accessible, friendly and explained everything at every step. There's a lot more to a competent defense than I ever imagined and he turned over every rock and looked at all the relevant law to demand that the accuser make their case (which... they did not and the case was dismissed). Highly recommended!!

I what a case come up quick that I had thought was over and we needed to find a lawyer fast. I had called Ben and even though I was freaking out he reassured me that he could help.
