Benjamin Alper saved my daughter from jail

Ben defended my young adult daughter on three separate felony and misdemeanor cases in Fulton County, Georgia Superior Court and State Court and in Gwinnett County, Georgia Superior Court. In each case, Ben reached an extremely successful result sparing my daughter from any jail time. Throughout my r...elationship with Ben, I have found him to be extremely knowledgeable, professional and very caring for my daughter and myself. He also worked with us regarding the fees that they charges us for the three separate cases as they reduced their fees to help us with our limited financial resources to fight these three legal battles. My daughter had substance abuse problems, which was the cause of her three criminal cases. She has been sober from alcohol and free from drugs now for almost a year and she is doing very well in college in Florida. I truly believe that the legal efforts and successful handling of my daughter's three cases by Benjamin Alper saved my daughter and enabled my daughter to turn her life around. For this, my daughter and I are forever eternally grateful to Ben. Ben Alper is a caring, wonderful, compassionate lawyer, and I highly recommend them to anyone needing to hire aggressive and honest criminal defense lawyers. God bless Ben for saving my daughter. If you get in trouble with the law, you had better call Ben, Benjamin Alper that is.

BENJAMIN ALPER AND HOWARD WEINTRAUB ARE PHENOMENAL CRIMINAL DEFENSE LAWYERS WHO SAVED ME

Several months ago, while I was driving my car in Georgia, I was pulled over in the afternoon by a police officer who claimed I had an improper level of tint in my windows. After speaking with me and the passengers in my car and with the officer claiming that he smelled an odor of marijuana, my passe...ngers and I were ordered out of my car. A search of my car then took place and the police found a quantity of marijuana in the trunk, together with a firearm and a weighing scale. Although these items did not belong to me, the officer arrested me and I was facing felony charges of being in possession of a firearm during the commission of a drug offense and possessing marijuana with the intent to distribute. Although my car was occupied with two passengers, the police placed criminal liability on me. As a young college graduate with a promising career ahead of me in the legal profession, I knew that this day had become a life-changing moment for me and I knew that I needed to retain formidable criminal defense lawyers in Atlanta to help me through this crisis. After making the dreaded telephone call from jail to my parents to advise them of my arrest (my first lifetime arrest) my parents searched for a criminal defense lawyer. At approximately 11 p.m. that evening my mother emailed the Law Offices of Howard J. Weintraub in Atlanta briefly stating my situation and requesting a call from the attorneys when the office opened the next day. To my parents’ amazement and relief, they received a telephone call from Attorney Howard Weintraub himself within a few minutes from when the email had been sent! Howard Weintraub spoke with my parents concerning the legal procedure that I was facing and he took great care at the midnight hour to allay their fears and anxiety. Mr. Weintraub discussed with my parents the law concerning vehicle stops and vehicle searches, and discussed other matters with them. Mr. Weintraub also commiserated with my parents about the devastating impact of the arrest on my future career and he offered relief to my parents by generating a plan – if it worked – that would enable me to forgo a conviction and have the arrest expunged from my record. Although he was careful not to guarantee this result, he was hopeful that he could pull it off. Guess what? Howard Weintraub and his partner Benjamin Black Alper pulled it off! Howard and Ben hit the ground running the next day after I made bail and was released from jail. First, Ben and Howard met with me in their midtown Atlanta office for a conference that took several hours. At this meeting, Ben and Howard went through the facts of my case in painstaking detail. They also took the time and effort to learn about me and my background so that they could explain to the prosecutor that I was not a criminal. After the meeting I felt relieved and I was so thankful to have not one but two smart and tough lawyers in my corner. Howard and Ben routinely kept in touch with me about my case and their progress. Howard and Ben explained that the first step would be to get the felony charges reduced to misdemeanor charges. The prosecutors initially offered to let me plead guilty to the felony charges with a sentence of five years of probation. Howard and Ben would not accept that. After a few more rounds of negotiations, Howard and Ben convinced the prosecutor to drop the charges to misdemeanors. A second prosecutor then came onto my case and offered to let me plead guilty to the misdemeanors with a sentence of one year probation. Howard and Ben would not accept that. After further negotiations and a lengthy presentation to the prosecutors about my character and background, Howard and Ben convinced the prosecutors to let me resolve my case by entering a pretrial diversion program, allowing the charges to be totally dismissed and the arrest expunged from my record: the best possible outcome!!!

Howard, David & Benjamin - Excellent Attorneys. Addition to review entiitled, ' Grateful in NYC'

Benjamin Black Alper and David Glestrom were all instrumental in helping to exonerate my brother of serious criminal charges in Georgia. They are part of the Law firm of Howard J. David Glestrom did not fail to brief me daily on strategy and answered my phone calls right away. His patience and sensitivity were invaluable in helping me and my family get through a very difficult time. I am grateful to the entire team of the law firm of Howard J. Review for Ben

Ben provided excellent service as my attorney. He responded to my questions via email or phone calls in a very timely manner (usually the same day). He also helped to ease some of the anxiety I felt going through my legal experience.

Benjamin Black Alper helped me avoid misdemeanor theft charges entirely

In 2013 I was wrongfully accused of misdemeanor theft by a former employer. I learned that the police were looking for me and contacted Ben Alper after reading glowing reviews of the Weintraub firm online. Howard Weintraub contacted me immediately after applying that night. He was out of town doi...ng defense work in New York and assigned Ben to my case. Ben actually met with me on a holiday weekend in Atlanta at their office to go over my case. He attempted to contact the officer investigating my case and negotiate a deal where I would not have to submit to an arrest warrant, but the officer refused. Ben advised me to turned myself into the police ASAP and had an advocate monitor my situation and keep my family informed of my status as I was booked. I made bail and was released the next day. Previously to this experience, Howard and Ben were constantly calling me to make sure I was okay and advised me to the letter what to do or not do, what to say or not say, and apologized that the situation had gone that way. I felt like I had a great defense team in my corner and the jail experience, while not pleasant, was brief. Over the next six to seven months, Ben and I worked closely to gather evidence and affidavits from co-workers attesting to my innocence. Ben presented this evidence to the prosecution and convinced them to allow for Diversion, which allowed the case to be dropped without me making a plea or incurring any official charges. I completed an online shoplifting program, registered my normal volunteering as community service and paid a few small fees to the court and was let off with a nolle prosequi as part of the deal. I was left with an arrest on my record, but the agreement allowed for expungement of the arrest to happen automatically after I was processed out. At the end of the entire series of events, I walked away with no charges, no prison time and no trace of this event on my record. As Ben said, "It was like it never happened." I owe it to Ben for recommending this path to me, as he advised that it was the smartest move. I feel that was an accurate assessment. Overall, I was very pleased with the services, discussions and representation that Ben gave me. Whenever I had to make an appearance in court, Ben always managed to make the process as painless and quick as possible, which I am grateful for. No one who is innocent until proven guilty should have to spend hours in a court room while surrounded by strangers, and Ben prevented that from happening multiple times. Ben was always pleasant to talk to and seemed to actually care about my well-being. When I had a question about situations that extenuated from the chaos this situation caused me, he heard me out and offered advice and suggestions that helped me. For these reasons I recommend Ben Alper and the Weintraub Firm. They are willing to work with short notice and do their best to keep you safe in the initial, hectic times an unexpected criminal charge can bring. They follow through on the matter and will keep in touch with you even after their services are complete. You can't really ask for more.
