Besides other wonderful staff at her law firm, I’ve been most impressed with Victoria herself. Her personal experiences and trajectory in life have shaped a person who truly cares about her clients, beyond the business side of things. Finding an accessible elder law attorney of such great accomplishment and credentials and competence with this sensibility has been very difficult, and I strongly recommend that you get acquainted with her firm, to see for yourself.
During this year I have attended several of the free educational seminars presented by the firm. Those presentations have been uniformly informative, concise, understandable and helpful. In addition to the friendly and comfortable welcome, learning continued well beyond the seminar from additional materials offered freely for attendees to take home. I later was able to take advantage of the very affordable individual consultation that was offered to review documents with Victoria and get customized advice, and she exceeded expectations as usual.
A friend gave me a list of the five 'best' Atlanta Elder Law attorneys. She said they're all good, but Victoria is 'nice' - that made all the difference. She was responsive, informative, knowledgeable and even has free workshops you can attend before you choose an attorney. I can't speak more highly of her - she was wonderful!
Our firm uses a holistic approach to elder law with a heavy emphasis on Asset Protection, Veterans Benefits, Medicaid, and Alzheimer's care planning. We have a social worker on staff to assist families with health care concerns. It is the mission of The Elder and Disability Law Firm of Victoria L. Collier, P.C., through our services, to support our Clients in the creation of a long-term plan for preserving assets, maximizing independence, and enhancing quality of life.
Our firm understands the importance of planning for life, disability, and death of persons of all ages. Estate planning includes special needs planning for persons with disabilities. The best long term care plan starts with a great estate plan. Properly drafted and executed documents are customized based on the client's needs and circumstances.
My love of senior citizens began at a young age. I was especially fond of my grandparents, who I spent a lot of time with in my early years. Â When they moved to Virginia, I was only 6 years old and missed them greatly. Unfortunately, they died at relatively young ages. Thus, I make sure that everyone who works for the Firm is passionate about helping seniors and families and is thoroughly trained to deliver the best service to our clients.
When I graduated from high school, I truly felt the void of grandparents. It was then that I went to work at a nursing home as a nurse’s aide. I also worked for home health companies as a companion caregiver for several years. Working as a nurse’s aide was truly the most rewarding job I have ever had – until I became a lawyer, of course! The people I met, the experiences we shared and the grief I held when my patients passed on, have provided me with sincere empathy and compassion to work with our current clients.
With a strong desire to go to college, I enlisted in the U.S. Air Force. My first learned skill was as a carpenter/mason. I loved working with my hands and working outside in an unconventional job, which has helped me in so many other areas of life. I then crossed trained to be a paralegal. I spent 6 years in the Air Force, during Desert Storm, which has engrained within me even more respect for our service men and women who served during WWII, Korean Conflict, and Vietnam Conflict.
Â
My time in the Air Force helped me develop the tough skin of a lawyer and the compassion needed to work with people every day. I live everyday by my personal philosophy:Â Each person is an individual who deserves respect and the highest quality of life possible, regardless of age or ability.

Excellent Elder Law, Estate Planning Attorney
Both my Mother and I used Victoria Collier for our estate planning. In my opinion Victoria is an expert in her field and I would not hesitate to recommend her. I can’t say enough good things about Victoria and her staff. They are experts in their field, they are professional, they are courtesy, they work hard to please their clients and as an added bonus they are fun to talk with.

"As an elder law attorney with a busy multistate practice I have come to rely on my colleague Victoria Collier for up-to-date knowledge concerning VA benefits. I have attended a number of seminars Victoria has led (concerning VA benefits) and have subscribed to the VISPro service she co-authored for a number of years. The best seminars, the best info and the best product I have seen involving VA benefits.
I also know Victoria as a fellow elder law attorney in the Georgia bar and have enjoyed her insights over the years."
