Calm, reassuring, knowledgeable

We hired Kelley in 2020 to update my mom's will as her dementia began to progress and we realized there were issues with the one she had created herself online. My brother and I were so sad and scared of all was to come, and neither of us has any legal training, but Kelley was such a calm presence, ...expertly navigating us through the process of setting up a trust and applying for Medicaid. She explained things in a way we could understand, and told us when there were free or low-cost options we could access instead of having her do everything, which only made me like her more. Like many things, you never know how good legal documents are until they're tested. My mom passed away several months ago and the trust Kelley wrote was immediately approved by the legal team at Medicaid estate recovery. Every communication with her over the years lifted the burden off my shoulders just a little. I can't say enough good things about Kelley and her entire team.

Responsive and knowledgeable -- relieved my anxiety

My husband died recently and I realized I needed help navigating the probate process. A friend told me about Kelley Napier; I called the office and left a message. Someone called back very soon and said Kelley would contact me to clarify what I needed within 24-48 hours. Kelley called the next day, a...sked me some questions, and told me I did not require probate. She also sent me an affidavit to transfer my husband's car to me. I asked how I could compensate her for her time and knowledge and she chuckled and said she hadn't provided any legal services so no charge. In the middle of a sad time of my life, Kelley brought a bit of needed sunshine.

Highly Recommend

Kelley helped me navigate making arrangements for my mother as she progressed through dementia. Her initial consultation was extremely informative and at a very reasonable price. I later used her in setting up a trust and in representing me in navigating Medicaid. She was always very kind, profess...ional and responded very quickly with any sort of question. She is a wealth of knowledge and I highly recommend Kelley for your elder care attorney needs.

Patient, Compassionate and Competent

Kelley was instrumental in guiding my father in dealing with my mother’s nursing home in her last days. She has continued to be a valued resource for my family and friends for elder law issues and solutions. If she is not an expert in the area for which a client is calling, she knows who is and promp...tly refers that professional. We recommend consulting her on the complicated legal and economic matters facing us all as we age to anyone who values being “more than a number” to those with whom you do business.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
