The Elderlaw Firm provides elder law estate planning in and around Greensboro, North Carolina for boomers and seniors. In addition to providing wills and living trusts, The Elderlaw Firm provides clients and their families with peace of mind through planning for long-term care, Alzheimer’s, Medicaid, VA Aid and Attendance, and taxes. The firm helps families throughout North Carolina apply for Medicaid to pay for the cost of nursing home care for a parent or spouse.
Nationally recognized Certified Elder Law Attorney Dennis Toman founded the firm with the mission of protecting local families from losing their home and retirement savings to long-term care, illness, taxes and the probate court, while getting the care they need.
To help seniors and boomers plan for the second half of life, the firm provides ongoing education to consumers, as well as training for other professionals in health care, finance and law. This is done through educational seminars, newsletters, in addition to a website that has an extensive online library of articles, frequently asked questions, and free resource guides plus free downloadable forms and helpful tools.
The Elderlaw Firm began in 2002 when attorney Dennis Toman decided to leave his previous law firm and dedicate this firm solely to elder law estate planning for local families. The firm has helped many families in central North Carolina and beyond to implement important legal strategies to protect themselves, their loved ones, and their estate. The firm’s offices are easily accessible and senior friendly.
Dennis Toman has practiced elder law estate planning for more than 20 years. He is a Board Certified expert in elder law and estate planning in North Carolina. A VA accredited attorney, Dennis is a member of the invitation only Council of Advanced Practitioners (CAP) through the National Elder Law Foundation, and he served as Chair of the Elder Law Section of the North Carolina Bar Association. He is a frequent speaker and author of many articles and professional presentations. He co-authored the book, “Protect Your Family: Don’t Write a Blank Check to the Nursing Home” and he is sought out by media for insight and commentary about elder law estate planning.
