Mr. Hunt was very honest and I felt 100% comfortable speaking with him prior to my actual court date. I have never dealt with the court system before and though I was extremely nervous and I suffer from extreme anxiety, but I found comfort in how knowledgeable and professional Mr. Hunt conducted hims...elf in and out of court. In 2011, I moved from Charlotte to Atlanta due to the birth of my son. His mother was living down there at the time but was also from Charlotte. After my sons birth, the relationship only lasted 6 more months. When the relationship ended, she took our son with her and I had no idea where he was. No a...ddress. She went as far as even changing her phone number. Months later, I learned that she had him back in Charlotte. We got back in contact and she was informing me that she was only there temporarily and that she would be moving back to Atlanta so, I believed her but it never happened. I later realized she was stalling me to get residency back in North Carolina which is what happened. 2012-2015 was a roller coaster of a ride, to say the least. Words will not ever be able to express the hurt and stress and emotions I went through. There were a number of obstacles that were put in my way by the mother to make it difficult for me to be the father that I wanted to be, unfortunately. In order for me to see him, I had to drive 4 hours to Charlotte every time, there were no overnights allowed nor anyway half-way meeting locations agreed upon. The first time I decided to keep him overnight, she called the cops on me. Of course, I wasn't in the wrong and they couldn't do anything but the fact that I had to go through that was painful. It was at that time one officer told me that I should just hire an attorney and deal with the non-sense that way. I tried time after time to privately negotiate with her so that we could work something out that would be less one-sided but to no avail. I actually never wanted to end up in court. I never wanted the situation to be open in a public venue. But given the irrational behavior I had been dealing with for years, I was forced to. I hired Mr. Hunt and his firm in January 2015 after one last failed negotiation attempt in November of 2014. Mr. Hunt was open, clear, honest and confident. He immediately put in a Temporary Parental Agreement which allowed me a lot more time with my son as well as a half-way meeting location in South Carolina so I wouldn't always have to be the one making the 4 hour drive one-way. Eventually, a final custody order was arranged which was even better than the TPA and worked out in my favor the best it could given that she still had NC residency and I still living in GA. My sons mother at first thought she could fight this battle without getting an attorney. She was wrong. I knew Mr. Hunt had a respectful reputation in the industry when my sons mother contacted me before a court date after she finally hired an attorney and was trying to negotiate for the first time. She mentioned that her attorney suggested that she try to work something out with me personally before the court date and that she may get a better outcome since Mr. Hunt was my attorney and "it wouldn't be easy". For the attorney of my "opponent" to recognize the fact that the Hunt Law Firm was "no joke" that was reaffirmation that I had hired the 'creme de la creme'! The ladies in his office that help him with the everyday operations of his practice are also very professional and kind. Both Mr. Hunt and his team always responded to my emails in a very timely manner and never lacked in dealing with my case and they are all very personable. Our interactions weren't just dealing in emails, however. There were times where I had to physically see him in his office so, they're also accommodating and want the best possible outcome for their clients. My son is now 5 years old and we spend valuable quality time together both in Atlanta and Charlotte during weekdays and weekends, he goes on trips with me now, during summers, during holidays and it's because of Greg and his firm that this was all possible.
