I am a board certified family law specialist and devote 100% of my practice to divorce & family law.
One of my goals is to provide the client with the pertinent information so that he or she can make the best decision, an informed decision. Sometimes a client does not agree with what I feel is the best decision. Ultimately it is your life, and you get to call the shots, but at least make an informed decision.
My job as your attorney is to represent your best interests. In most cases, part of representing the client’s best interests is for the client to keep as much money in his/her pocket as possible- and paying your attorney as little as possible. If there is ever any work you can do in your case yourself, and thereby reducing your attorney’s fees, I will always give you the option to do it yourself. Not only does this reduce your attorney’s fees, but it means you are more actively involved in your case.
The most important thing is that your trust your lawyer. I am personally, morally, legally and ethically obligated to be loyal to my clients. Many people are not “themselves” during a divorce. Their head is foggy and their moods depressed. They don’t know who to trust and they are angry. Many times they do things or act in ways that are detrimental to themselves. These things can produce conflict with your lawyer as well as other people around you; try to be patient and understand that your lawyer is working for you and you must trust that.
Emily knew from a very early age that she wanted to be a lawyer, and she remain committed to that goal.
Originally from Greensboro, NC, Emily graduated magna cum laude from Furman University in Greenville, South Carolina, with a double degree in History and Political Science. She earned law degree from The Norman Adrian Wiggins School of Law at Campbell University and has practiced family law exclusively since being admitted to practice Law in North Carolina.
While in law school, Emily excelled in her studies and extracurricular activities. As a result of Emily’s genuine interest and passion for the courtroom, she excelled in Campbell Law’s moot court competition, and additionally was awarded the North Carolina Advocates for Justice Advocacy Award. In the summer before her third year of law school and continuing during the school year, Emily worked part-time for a law firm in Smithfield, which provided her with valuable hands on experience that isn’t taught in law school.
Emily began her legal career as an associate attorney at two other family law firms in Wake County before deciding to form her own law firm. She has not looked back, and enjoys the flexibility that having her own firms allows, while providing the utmost in professionalism and knowledgeable advice.
Emily is currently an active member with the North Carolina State Bar, the North Carolina Bar Association Family Law Section, the American Bar Association Family Law Section, and the Wake County Bar Association.

Emily Moore Tyler represented me in a family law matter in 2018 and I cannot recommend her highly enough. She and her paralegal, Kellie, put adverse counsel to shame with client-focused, well-reasoned advice and thorough preparation for mediation. Her services were an excellent value and I felt that...

This has less to do with the quality of the lawyer in question and more so of the quality of her staff she employs. That's not the representation of her firm and was duly contacted in return by her paralegal, or at least a paralegal who stated she represented her. I was informed of her $300 consul...
Hi, there, thank you for your feedback. I believe this person contacted my office yesterday to inquire about an initial consultation. My paralegal is out of the office for several days, and the main office receptionist, who does not work for me, was trying to assist this person as I was in court. In my paralegal's absence, I gave the receptionist some basic information should clients or potential clients call, but she is not familiar with all of my office procedures. Because family law matters are complicated, even my paralegal only takes very preliminary information over the phone as a meeting- either in person or over the phone- is necessary to truly understand a person's issues and give him or her the best legal advice. I have no desire to "get bodies into the door" and only want to help people through one of the most difficult things they will ever go through. I hope you can see that this was a rare occurrence and I do apologize.

I never thought in all my life that I would ever find myself going through a divorce. However when that reality was upon me and my young children, I knew I had to hire an attorney who would put me, my family, and my interests first. I knew I needed to be deliberate about avoiding attorneys out to p...

Emily has been attentive to my specific case and helps in anyway she can. She always calls to check in even after my agreement was reached. I have dealt with four attorneys in the past 7 years but Emily has been by far the best.

Miss Emily turned against me - her client at the mediation. She did not look for my interest and even suggested me to pay for my ex mediation fee. She hired a mediator who is in her office - the mediator never introduced herself via email, so I even did not know about the mediation fee... The surpr...
By these remarks, I know who this former client is and let's just say that he is on a war path against me. He filed a grievance against me with with the North Carolina Bar and it was deemed frivolous and unfounded. He created his own situation and I did the best to help him out of it. None of what he says above is true.

"I endorse this lawyer. I don't know Ms. Moore personally. I have reviewed her Legal Guide and a response caught she made on a comment is what first caught my eye. It was insightful and contrary to what I saw posted by someone else with more experience, but the other attorney I don't believe had a grasp on the issue the way Ms. Moore demonstrated she did."
"Emily Moore is an excellent lawyer who is true asset to her clients. Her skill, diligence, and concern for her clients make her truly standout among the attorneys in her field."
