I have been an attorney for 38 years. My practice is limited to representing consumers who have debt issues. I am a federally designated Debt Relief Agency under the United States Bankruptcy Laws. I assist people with finding solutions to their debt problems, including, where appropriate, assisting them with the filing of petitions for relief under the United States Bankruptcy Code. I am admitted to practice at all levels of the North Carolina court system and all of the United States District Courts and Bankruptcy Courts in North Carolina.
I began the practice of law in the State of Texas in 1986. I relocated to North Carolina with my family in 1999, and became licensed to practice law in North Carolina in 2000.
My hours are by appointment only. I do not accept "walk-in's". All initial consultations are done by telephone only.

Job Well Done!
Lynn was amazing. Due to circumstances beyond my control, I had to push her limits constantly. I was a mess, while she remained a rock. Bankruptcy, for me, was a nightmare of tasks...but Lynn understood my needs and talked me down from the proverbial ledge. Kindness goes a long way...and she went the...
"I endorse this lawyer. I have answered several Landlord-Tenant Q&A questions with Attorney Coleman and she consistently provides well considered, practical advice based upon her experience and knowledge."
"Lynn and I have been colleagues in the NC Bar and practitioners of bankruptcy in NC for well over twenty years. She knows her stuff and has an excellent reputation in our community. I heartily endorse this lawyer."
"This Texas-trained lawyer is a valued contributor to this forum, offering consistently wise and insightful analysis. I endorse her."
"I am consistently impressed with Lynn's thoughtful advise and answers to legal questions. She has an understanding of the law and an ability to communicate legal concepts clearly and effectively. I endorse this lawyer!"
"I enthusiastically endorse Attorney Coleman who is a valuable contributor to questions posed on AVVO. She is exceptionally qualified and does a great job in her analysis of questioners situations."
"With much pleasure, I endorse Attorney Lynn Coleman. She has both a deep and broad knowledge of NC substantive law--torts, property, contracts, business law, etc.--as well as civil procedure. She knows a tenable case when she sees one, and her legal analyses are among the best available on Avvo (read them for confirmation). She is a highly-skilled problem solver, and a seminal resource to North Carolinians with legal issues to resolve. I highly recommend her."
"I endorse this lawyer. I have read many of Ms. Coleman's answers on the AVVO site. Her answers are very analytical and well reasoned. She looks at all issues of a problem. I would hire her if I needed an attorney. I would give her the highest endorsement available."
"Lynn is an excellent and thorough attorney. She is prepared and vigorously defends her clients' interests. I don't say this lightly but I've had cases with her on the other side. I wouldn't hesitate to hire if I needed her skill set."
"Lawyers who serve the avvo community as much as Ms. Coleman are few and far between. It takes passion, concern and dedication to devote so much time. You have my endorsement and kudos."
"I endorse this lawyer. Ms. Coleman's frequent contributions to Avvo demonstrate her deep knowledge of the law and, as importantly, her skill at identifying practical solutions to sometimes complex legal issues. I would certainly trust her guidance in a variety of legal matters."
"I endorse this lawyer. Ms. Coleman is determined to do what is best for each and everyone of her clients."
"Attorney Coleman is one of the most knowledgeable, hard-working attorneys around. I would send my relatives to her for any of the many areas in which she practices, but especially in debtor/creditor matters."
