John was great to work with! Being new to Virginia and dealing with the traffic laws and their enforcement here can be frustrating. Finding out that being accused of speeding over 80 mph also puts you in the reckless driving category is beyond frustrating. I was charged with 89/70 within the "Million Dollar Mile" of Hopewell. This county is a disgrace for doing this openly to trap people. We all have speed up at certain points on the highway to avoid accidents. Those points are speedtraps. In VA, it is not just a speeding ticket, it is a misdemeano...r and reckless driving, are you kidding me? Try doing 70 on i95 and see how many cars will fly by you, any faster than that will earn you a "criminal record", big fat ticket and worse of all insurance hike. Lesson learned, DON'T EVER TAKE 495, IT IS A TRAP. TAKE i95 STRAIGHT THROUGH RICHMOND. These hopewell cops cannot hang out on 95, they only snoop around on 495. The ticket was $336, but thanks to Mr. Weiland and Riley and Wells, my charge was reduced to improper driving and reduced ticket of $236 with an extra bonus of no points because improper driving is a unique law to VA, and no misdemeanor record. Of course lawyers charge a fee, but it was still better than insurance hike and a record. By the way, this law firm was able to work with me and give me some discount. At the end of the day, this trip through VA has cost me more quite some money. REMINDER: Never Never ever take 495. Go google the million dollar mile in Hopewell, VA.
