John Matthew Weiland

Weiland did an outstanding job. What you pay a lawyer for is their connections in the court, ability to make quick judgements, and their knowledge of the law and John hit all 3 points with 5 stars. Henrico is a hard court and on top of that my record wasn’t clean as far as speeding. Originally I was ...in a courtroom with a judge that while kind, would probably not have reduced my speeding out of misdeameanor due to the amount of 45 mph over. However he was able to use his quick thinking and knowledge of the court to allow me to switch courtrooms and in front of a judge that MAY have been a bit more lenient. He was very upfront with me about the potential outcome of the case and what I was facing- but I wholeheartedlyuu believe that with another lawyer in the same situation I would’ve ended up with a misdemeanor for speeding. This speaks to John as an individual on top of his expertise in his field. Now as a client- you do have to do your part as well -and I think that is what helped because all John had to do was worry about the court because I did everything that was asked prior and it was a long list of things. However those same things were the reason the Judge said “this is a very excessive speed but the amount of things you did to mediate is why I’ll reduce it to 15” (not exactly verbatim but the same message.) My driving record had a previous speeding ticket, and 3 accidents. I think that everything was worth the price and I will hopefully never have to use his services again. But if i needed another lawyer I would use him again.

I had a reckless driving case in Henrico County that was 99% guaranteed to get me at least one day of jail time: 106 mph in a 65. Mr. Weiland did not sugar coat it, but told me what to do before my court date to give me the best shot. I logged over 100 service hours, got my speedometer checked and ca...librated, and had my employer write a character letter. Henrico County is known for being hard line on speeding and anything over 100mph is considered automatic jail time. When my court date came, thankfully we had a judge that was sympathetic enough to my case (explaining since I was military I was facing disciplinary action on my end as well), I ended up having my charges lowered to "improper driving" with a $500 fine, with no criminal record. Mr. Weiland was amazing. He's also former military so he's familiar with those situations as well.

I was on a road trip up to DC when I was caught speeding at 86/70 on the highway. I was handed what I thought was a speeding ticket at the time and was prepared to pay the fine. To my dismay, the actual charge was reckless driving which is a class I misdemeanor in the state of VA. Sharp informative honest tactful the list goes on and willing to fight for you will talk to you with respect was never condasending or dismissive of my questions or insight you can tell he cares these can be rare qualities in some lawyers I recently retained John Weiland to represent me and he... delivered amazing results better than i ever could have logically expected i have never been so impressed by any other lawyer ive talked to. i would recommend him to anyone i hope i dont need a lawyer again but if i do the choice is clear for me This guy is an ace hire him now and give yourself some peace of mind youll feel better about things as soon as your done consulting with him awesome lawyer and excellent character you need him in your corner

I was charged with Reckless driving - speeding 82 on 70., no inspection and no front license plate. I was referred to John Weiland by another attorney.
