Sharp informative honest tactful the list goes on and willing to fight for you will talk to you with respect was never condasending or dismissive of my questions or insight you can tell he cares these can be rare qualities in some lawyers I recently retained John Weiland to represent me and he... delivered amazing results better than i ever could have logically expected i have never been so impressed by any other lawyer ive talked to. i would recommend him to anyone i hope i dont need a lawyer again but if i do the choice is clear for me This guy is an ace hire him now and give yourself some peace of mind youll feel better about things as soon as your done consulting with him awesome lawyer and excellent character you need him in your corner

John was willing to talk to me long enough to get to know my situation the first time we spoke. As an out of state client he let me know what I needed to do and what documents I needed to supply for him to best represent me. He explained all possible outcomes, promising no particular one, only that ...he would work his hardest to get the best outcome he could for me. He was able to get all charges dismissed as long as i passed a driving class and paid court costs. I called many attorneys, most charging more, and some charging less, but John was the only one able to put me at ease and make me feel certain my case would get the attention it deserved. I am so glad I was represented by John Weiland. He got me the best possible outcome for my case.

Long story short. I was on way to NYC for job interview from NC. I loss situational awareness and a trooper pulled me over with 96/70 in Spotsylvania, VA which is reckless driving; thus, this will be a misdemeanor and facing jail time. I think this was a speed trap. First moving violation/speedi...ng ticket ever in 19 years of driving. I was very distraught and sad. Mr. John Matthew Weiland was able to calm me down and provide a strategy to assist me in downgrading the charge and avoid jail time. Judge was adamant about not reducing the speed; however, John persuaded him into reducing the speed to 80/70. Trust me. I am not going to lose situational awareness ever again. John Weiland, and Caddell Weiland law firm represented my case for two traffic violations, which would be at the misdemeanor level if found guilty. When John took over my reckless driving case file, it had capital letters written across the front reading, "LONG SHOT." He read it, organized it, highlighted it, memorized it, and developed a strategy to win it. He called me the night before, met with me the morning of, talked me through what he w...ould do and say, told me what I should do and say, and warned me honestly of the worse-case scenario. When I met him again in the courtroom, he was smiling. He knew the judge. He knew the trooper who ticketed me. And most importantly, he knew me. As I watched the myriad sentences being handed out before my case, some resulting in jail time, I quickly realized that John was by far the most professional, most well-prepared, most articulate, and most respected lawyer in the courtroom. He was a natural -- good timing, solid logic, and sound argument. I found out that day that John is prior-military, which no doubt contributes to his work ethic, resourcefulness, professional relationships, and preparation. He was one of those civilians who, immediately after 9-11, put his dream of being a lawyer aside to defend his country. Even in that role, he stood out among Infantrymen as a Special Forces Non-Commissioned Officer. In the Army, we call someone like John a Subject Matter Expert -- he is a man at the top of his game. At the same time, John is pleasant, personal, confident, and hard-working. The flat fee charged by John's firm was reasonable and more than worth the miraculous result John achieved -- me walking out of the courtroom 15min later, paying a lower-than-deserved fine, and driving back to work. John said afterwards that "the stars were aligned" for my case to turn out the way it did, but I know that John did the aligning himself by thoroughly preparing to defend me in court. John's heart and mind are 100% dedicated and committed to winning the "long shots." I don't ever plan to be in court again, God willing, but if I do, I will call John Matthew Weiland.
