I am a teacher in Florida and was going 88 in a 70 when I was given a summons to appear in court for reckless driving. A misdemeanor is devastating to any career, let alone teaching. I knew I had to get this resolved immediately. I spoke with a few different options, but ended up going with Mr. Keefer. Even though it was slightly more expensive, I went with him after reading his reviews and success stories. A criminal record is nothing to mess around with. He told me all of the required documents to provide and steps to take before my court date. Though there was some confusion about which online driver improvement course to take, (online as a FL resident for Virginia), they were very helpful and were able to reduce the charges to non-criminal. I would definitely recommend.

Our son is enrolled in a local Harrisonburg college. He is a very responsible young man. So responsible that we allowed him to take his car with him his freshman year in college. He received noticed while at school that family member was involved in a serious accident back home in North Carolina. He called and asked permission if he could drive to the hospital from school to give support to our family. Upon he arrival back to school he received a speeding ticket not for the normal reasons you would expect. He was trying to get back to school because he had early morning class and football workouts. Neither of which he has never missed. He called me as soon as he could to apologize and explain what happen. We are a working class family and he understood what a speeding ticket could do in regards to his insurance escalating and crippling our family's finances. We received a free consultation from Mr. Keefer. Immediately I felt we had contacted the right lawyer. He gave us steps to a clear resolution that did not skirt around our son responsibility in receiving the ticket at a fair price. His resolution helped teach our son about the cost and effort it takes to keep a clean driving record. The outcome was exactly what he said it would be.
Mr. Keefer comes HIGHLY recommended by my family! We are grateful to have you as our lawyer. Thank you so much!

I'm a Registered Nurse and received a reckless driving ticket on I81 after being clocked at 87 mph in a 70. I was not aware that anything over 80 mph in Virginia is considered reckless driving. Any conviction of a felony, or misdemeanor has to be reported to the Virginia Board of Nursing. I certainly did not want this on my record, nor did I want to explain a misdemeanor conviction for any future employment. I hired Mr. Keefer, who was able to get my case continued as I completed the necessary paperwork he required. My driving record is less than stellar, having received several speeding tickets over the past few years. Fortunately, Mr. Keefer was able to get me a fair deal from the presiding judge, which avoided the misdemeanor conviction. Being a former account manager, I can assure you that having a misdemeanor conviction on your background is no laughing matter. Many employers simply do not care, or have the time to inquire why you checked yes to any felony, or misdemeanor conviction. Don't take that chance and hire an attorney with a proven track record. Thanks again Mr. Keefer!

Thankfully in the end...my case was dismissed. Thank you, Mr. Keefer and team!

I got a speeding ticket in downtown Harrisonburg (25 mph zone) just before my wedding which was in South Carolina. I called Keefer Law Firm, and Bob agreed to handle my case for me so that I would not need to appear in court at all, and could continue with my travel plans. Even better? He got the ticket completely dismissed and I was only responsible for minimal court fees...what a great wedding gift to us! He and his staff are very professional, polite, and organized. They kept me in the loop on all paperwork needed and the outcome of the case. I highly recommend this firm if you need an attorney in the Harrisonburg area!

We live out of state and our daughter is a JMU Student with very limited highway driving experience who has never been pulled over before. She was coming home at night on 81, had passed some tractor trailers and nervously exceeded the speed limit. Having never been pulled over before she pulled over to the closest side of the highway, to the Left, instead of pulling over to the Right side of the road (which we see in our state all of the time). She was charged with Reckless Driving for speeding and Improper Stop on a Highway for pulling to the wrong side of the road. We did research and found out how serious these charges are in the state of Virginia! We knew our daughter would need a lawyer and found Mr. Keefer. Mr. Keefer was very knowledgeable about what would need to be done in hopes of getting these charges reduced. His secretary Beth immediately provided us a “to-do” list to complete prior to appearing in court. On the day of court, Mr. Keefer was able to get the Improper Stop charge dropped and the Reckless Driving charge reduced to Improper Driving upon the completion of a Driver’s Safety Class, 1 year unsupervised probation, community service and a $ 500 fine. Compared to the charges she was facing (a possible Criminal Record) we are very happy with this outcome and thank Mr. Keefer and Beth for all of their guidance.

My son is a JMU student who made a poor decision leaving a friends home one evening....he forgot to check the contents of the car he had borrowed. He was pulled over for a malfunctioning headlight and as result of a search, charged with possession for a marijuana grinder with residue that was in the car but wasn't his. Being a naïve young man, he also admitted to the officer that he had smoked marijuana earlier that evening and was charged with DUI based on his admission. I am a practicing attorney from a neighboring state and know the importance of having good representation in these circumstances. Charges like this can change a young persons life. After talking to any number of attorneys in the area, I had the good fortune of talking to Bob Keefer and eventually decided he was the one for the case. Best decision I could have made for my son and our family!!!! Mr. Keefer is a thoughtful, caring counselor but an aggressive, tireless and meticulous advocate!!! He is an expert in the DUI arena, knows the judicial landscape in Harrisonburg, and leaves no stone unturned. He and his team, Beth, Tony and Timur masterfully navigated our family though the proceeding to a phenomenal result. We felt like we were in the hands of family, not an attorney looking for the next paycheck. In fact, Mr. Keefer returned money to us when the case was over. I am eternally grateful to Mr. Keefer for his assistance and give him my strongest endorsement. Thanks again Bob and tell Tony we send our best regards even if he is Raiders fan.
