In 2015 I was arrested in Bridgeport, WV for DUI. I called Todd on a Sunday and left him a voice mail. He promptly called me back and took all my information and set up a meeting. He took my case and successfully got my case dropped with the condition I don't get another DUI.
Unfortunately, the following year I had a few drinks for only one hour and somehow blacked out and didn't remember getting in my vehicle and driving. I don't remember what happened while driving but I evidently hit another vehicle from behind and fled the scene. That's something I always called other people stupid for doing and here I was now stuck with a felony DUI with bodily injury. The DA was steadfastly convinced I needed to be put away for three to ten years in prison and Todd, once again, attacked my case with a vengeance. This time he really earn his salary to say the least. It took him a year of negotiations in the Judicial and Circuit Courts to get our plea excepted by the Judge who then gave me the sweetest deal I could have ever imagine.
I was facing minimum of three years probation, six months home incarceration and another six months of alcohol monitoring plus 4 days a week AA meetings. Mr La Neve was able to get me with only a three probation and no home incarceration or alcohol monitoring along with the divergence clause which states if I successfully complete my three year probation the felony will be deferred adjudicated to a misdemeanor.
Mr La Neve saved me from a reunion with Bubba at the State Pen and I will always be great full. Needless to say, I am a reformed drinker and aim to be one of the few who successfully completes the divergence sentence.

Todd was very kind and helpful. He walked me through the dui process step by step. I would recommend Todd to all my family and friends. He was very professional and carried himself very well.

There's not enough that I can say about Todd. Todd handled my second offense DUI like a pro. There's no substitute for experience and this is made clear as soon as Todd takes your case. One thing you will learn as you go through the DUI process is that you're not only dealing with a criminal offense but administrative charges with the DMV as well. You're going to need someone who knows DUI law inside and out, Todd knows his stuff. He returned my calls quickly with answers, responded to emails and made good on everything he said he would do. He really exceeded all my expectations and got the job done.
Scott Spindel, DUI and DWI Attorney
Relationship: Fellow lawyer in community
Todd LaNeve is the #1 DWI/DUI lawyer in the state of West Virginia! I have known Todd for many years now and he is the only name you need to know in West Virginia. As a matter of fact, Todd personally trained and employed most of the DWI/DUI defense lawyers, who are properly trained (because of him) in WV. Todd is a zealous advocate for his clients and true star in and out of court! I am honored to call Todd my friend and colleague and refer anyone that contacts me for help in WV to TODD LaNEVE, without hesitation.
