Best criminal defense Attorney in Galveston County ****RESILIENT****

I hired Tad Nelson numerous times over the past five years for both Criminal Defense and Family Law. Unfortunately my son has had many incidents in Galveston County (particularly League City). As the incidents mounted, Tad took charge. He told my son and I "not to worry - that was his job". His staff is extremely friendly, prompt, helpful and professional. I have NEVER been disappointed with results of his services. The situation was hopeless, but Tad pulled us out and handled everything with such great knowledge of the law! You will not be disappointed if you hire Tad Nelson. He is the most resilient Attorney I have ever met and I highly recommend him. In 1994 after a successful career as a prosecutor, Mr. Nelson opened the doors to a different type of law practice. Mr. Nelson wanted to build a unique law firm that was more concerned with a client's well being than the fee the client was generating. Well being does not always just mean getting the client a good deal. Well being means helping the client understand the process, well being means explaining all the obstacles that the client faces, and most of all well being means assuring the client that you are doing all that you possibly to get the client a satisfactory outcome. How can you tell if a lawyer is concerned about your case more than their bottom-line? When you sit down and talk with them about your case, always note what percentage of the conversation is about the fee you need to pay them. You also look to see what they do outside the office. Are they involved in their community? Do they donate their time and money to make their community a better place to live? Do they do things that help those less fortunate than himself? The reality is; if a lawyer does not care enough about the community he lives in he probably will take the same approach with his clients.

Great lawyer!

He Is The Right Lawyer & The Best Houston Law Firm

I wanted to take a lil time out and commend Tad Nelson & Associates for all the help they gave me with my legal troubles in Harris County. Right after I moved to southeast Houston last year I started having a few troubles but I never thought I would be in trouble with law in my life ever. Although it took a little over a year and a ton of court resets dates, they finally got a my case DISMISSED. I want to take a moment to commend the staff at the law office. They always make you feel like family. I walso want to say that Tad and Amber and Shelly and the others always took the time to answer my concerns and they were reall real good on communication and calling and texting back. Their Attorneys Were Smart & Effective

Excellent defense lawyer

Tad was a great help to my and my family. The Houston Police stopped me for suspicion of DWI and I was arrested. After I talked with a few lawyers, Tad was the only one that didn’t suggest probation. I didn’t feel I was guilty or did anything wrong. I needed help and Tad was there for me and said he thought he could help. I can’t share all the details, but things worked out and I recommend this law firm.

They Saved my life!

They got my dismissed and I’m thankful cause my life woulda been ruined. When I first made contact with them about my case they took over the next day and started representing me. When I talked to Tad, he was very courteous and listened to my situation and told me he felt like he could help me with my case. It took some time to go through the courts cause I needed a few resets, but after about 10 or 11 months we finally got the situation dismissed. I strong recommend Tad for legal cases because they helped me and saved my life. I recommend them because they are genuine and were honest with me.

A Very Effective Defense Lawyer

Considering how messed up our judicial system is, Tad was the light in the darkness for my case. When I told Tad about my situation in our initial meeting he believed me when I said I wasn’t guilty. Although I don’t want to discuss the details of my case, it was a criminal case and I was facing up to 5 years. Excellent, Smart Defense Lawyer

Above and Beyond what I expected

I got myself into some trouble when I was younger and stupid many years ago. I hired Tad Nelson because he seemed to be very qualified. But he went above and beyond my expectations. On my final court date, he comes into the courtroom and plays some word game magic on the judge, basically wraps him around his finger, and makes it to where not only is my sentence almost non-existent, but I actually got something in return from the court! Like a recompense. I was absolutely floored. I was not expecting any of that. I remember walking out of the courtroom laughing in shock because it was like something you'd see on tv. He looked at me and smiled and said, "Heh, most of them don't know what the hell is really going on." He's intelligent like that. He then mentioned that I'd get an email asking how I viewed his services to which I said I'd definitely give him a positive review. But for some reason, I never got that email. So after all these years, I came back here to say you don't need to look any further if you're looking for the best attorney. Thanks, Tad. And in case you were wondering, I'm doing amazing. Transparent & Trustworthy

I recently hired Tad to represent me on a Misdemeanor Family Violence case. I’ve never been in trouble, never been to jail and certainly am not guilty of this charge. Tad reassured me from the first conversation I would be taken care of and even allowed a payment plan. Our first court date was recent and you can tell the court room is his stomping grounds. He means business and is firm to get results. Hopefully this all works out and the case gets dismissed as it should. Good Lawyer

This a good man. Gave me insight into my case a few weeks ago. Was supposed to have trial March 28. ADA wasn't ready so it's seit in a month. I had an attorney but was about to fire him and Tad told me how my case will end soon and he didn't try and rip me off or scare me for pay. So I'm just praying in a month everything will be done. Super lawyer in Texas

I had to go to trial in Galveston county and I was highly impressed w the attorneys they spoke and explained to the jury the case and got a not guilty verdict. Justice was served after months of the da's office not negotiating. It was truly a super lawyers work. Miracle Worker

We hired Tad Nelson to defend our granddaughter and her husband, both of whom had been charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. Prior to this time we had absolutely NO experience with the legal system, so we were very afraid of what penalty they faced for such severe charges. Tad did not overpromise, making it clear that the charges were very serious and that we needed to be patient and let him work to realize the best possible results. After about 15 months he was able to have the charges dismissed against our granddaughter and reduced to deferred imposition for her husband. I don't believe that even Tad thought he could achieve such results. Our grandchildren were given their lives back, and hopefully will use much better judgment in the way they live their lives in the future. Thanks again, Tad. You were certainly worth your fee!

Galveston D.A.'s Office offered 30 years! Found Not Guilty by Jury in Trial! Thank you Tad Nelson!

April 15, 2012 I was arrested for a DWI. I had a history of DWI convictions. The District Attorney was ruthless. I was on Parole and could not bond out. I went to trial and was found NOT GUILTY on April 2, 2015. Yes, I was found NOT GUILTY after sitting in jail 2-1/2 years. I felt my neck under the boot of an impatient, Byzantine legal bureaucracy of Galveston County. The true blessing and hope was that I was in good hands with Tad Nelson and Amber Spurlock on my side. I was in the conservative court of Judge Lonnie Cox, which is said to favor the State. I was summoned to his chambers and was greeted by an Electric Chair sitting next to the photo of him and his bride. One could not feel any less comfortable. The Galveston Police officer had a story and so did I. Both stories conflicted each other. Tad Nelson listened to every word I had to say and he asked all the right questions. Tad and his team did their research, and did a great job doing so. Thanks to Tad Nelson and his team, we won! I am forever grateful for all the attention he gave me and the fact that he paid attention to what I had to say. I tell everyone I know about Tad Nelson because of his great work.
