Biography
Cambridge Baker is a Senior Attorney at AMG Law, PLC, practicing exclusively family law. Her practice covers every type of family law matter in Virginia, including separation, divorce, custody, visitation and support cases. She further has experience with high net worth and high conflict divorces, both in the context of litigation and negotiation. She has further litigated numerous complex custody cases, involving various types of experts, including highly-litigated relocation cases. Ms. Baker represent clients in Fairfax County, Loudoun County, Prince William County, Alexandria, and all across Northern Virginia.
Originally from Chapel Hill, North Carolina, Ms. Baker graduated with a Bachelor of Arts from Elon University in North Carolina, where she was a Presidential Scholar. Despite graduating a semester early, she completed two majors, in Political Science and International Studies, while also completing to minors in Spanish language and Latin American Studies.
After graduating from college, Ms. Baker worked as a Private Wealth Management Administrative Assistant at Advantage xPO onsite at Goldman, Sachs & Co. in Boston, Massachusetts. She then transitioned to a position as a Wealth Management Professional in the Private Wealth Management division at Goldman, Sachs & Co. in Washington, D.C. in which capacity she was licensed as a broker with her Series 7 and Series 66. In that role, Ms. Baker worked closely with clients, their attorneys and accountants to provide targeted, personalized and high-level financial services to high net worth individuals and their families.
Ms. Baker left Goldman, Sachs & Co. to study law at the University of Richmond School of Law. Upon graduating, Ms. Baker was bestowed with the honor of induction into the Order of Barrsters, a prestigious national honorary organization that recognizes, Ms. Baker immediately began practicing family law in the Northern Virginia area. Prior to her current position, she worked at two other prominent Northern Virginia family law firms, first as an Associate Attorney at Livesay & Myers, P.C. from August 2018 to October 2020, and then as an Associate Attorney at Roop, Xanttopoulos, Babounakis & Klam PLLC from October 2020 to June 2023. Ms. Baker joined AMG Law, PLC in June of 2023.
Ms. Baker currently holds a perfect 10.0 rating from Justia, has been recognized among Best Lawyers' Ones to Watch for 2026, and has been nominated as a Virginia Super Lawyers Rising Stars Honoree in 2023, 2024 and 2025.
