Review From a Grateful Disabled Veteran

Ms. Alden did an outstanding job representing me in the disability discrimination case I had to bring against my agency. I was truly amazed at how knowledgeable she was on a wide variety of topics including all applicable federal disability laws, VA disability guidelines, Equal Opportunity statutes,... Workers Compensation rules and Federal Disability regulations. In addition to being the best lawyer I ever encountered, she was also the most caring and compassionate attorney I have ever met as well. All throughout the stressful two year period prior to my settlement, Ms. Alden was easily assessable throughout the entire process and I could always reach her when I needed to discuss my case. Speaking to her would ease my nerves during very difficult times as she would reassure me that I was in good hands and everything would be okay. Ultimately, she was correct. Thanks to her, my case was settled and the terms of the agreement were very favorable. I cannot say enough good things about Ms. Alden and I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a highly qualified attorney who works hard, goes the extra mile and truly cares about her clients! If that is the type of attorney you are looking for, then I believe you will be extremely pleased if you hire Attorney Kristin Alden. Without a doubt, it is one of the best choices I have ever made!

The Right Team Can Beat Tremendous Odds & A Huge Federal System

Kristin Alden and her team are a dedicated, talented and thorough group of professionals that helped a combat disabled veteran overcome major odds to gain victory against the largest government agency and its overwhelming advantage of resources and time. She used great skill to blend my personal exp...erience with the law and provide a clear path for the court to have a comprehensive understanding of how the agency and federal executives took advantage of their trusted positions of authority to manipulate staff and internal operations and deliberately discriminate against an individual. The case revealed it is not a single example but something that is repeated time and again all across the federal system. In my case the chance of success was less than 5%, yet we developed the trust and confidence that we could overcome tremendous odds and it was an amazing experience to be proven right. I know her team will do all it can to help others beat the odds and find justice.

Experienced, Knowledgeable and Resolute

I found Kristin Alden online. At the same time, I was asking for a recommendation from a couple of attorney acquiantances who did not practice in this area. Interestingly, they both recommended her. I am grateful that I hired Kristin. After our initial consult, I felt confident that she would fight f...or me. She was realistic from the beginning about the merits of my case (strong) and how much compensation that I would be able to get given that it was an EEO case. She made it clear that settlement was the likely path and a good path as it would allow me to move forward with my life rather than continuing to deal with the emotional and physical harm this was causing me. She was and is a very compassionate person. She empathized with me. She is very personable which was important to me. As far as her expertise, she knows the law in and out. This is important to understand because it really comes down to what is legal and illegal. She is on top of deadlines which is critical to an EEO case. She is aware of the "games" the government takes to delay. Kristin is well connected which is significant as she clearly has a good rapport and reputation with judges who ultimately become involved in either a settlement or a court date. She is resolute with opposing counsel. Kristin has a presence and confidence about her. She has a lot of experience and will fight for you. I was very pleased with my settlement. I have recommended her to others. You can't go wrong with Kristin!

Negotiating a settlement in a complex EEO/ discrimination case

I was referred to Ms. Alden by way of her known expertise in handling Federal cases associated with EEO complaints. Ms. Alden did an outstanding job, from beginning to end, in ensuring the case settled with amicability on both sides of the table. She was very communicative both in written and verba...l form, knowledgeable of the law and trustworthy. Thank you

Disability Discrimination/Federal Government Employee

Counselor Alden came at the recommendation of a friend (also a lawyer) when I found myself in the worst bind of my career while serving the federal government. I had prepared my whole life to get the prestigious position I was placed in and, sadly, found that my supervisor actively discriminated agai...nst employees with disabilities like mine. When I had an in-office seizure early on in my tenure and my supervisor single-mindedly adopted the mission of getting rid of me, there was nowhere to turn but the law. Thank God that I was referred to Alden's law firm. Everyone I encountered there was extremely helpful, scrupulously professional, informative and appropriately empathic. I knew at all times that in no way was my case merely an income stream for the firm. Instead, I knew that my interests were thoroughly protected for the duration. I ended up successfully negotiating my preferred settlement with the federal government. Today, I'm in a job I love and I'm better off for having had this experience -in large part, because I had the opportunity to work with Kristin Alden. I didn't think it could happen. I'm extremely grateful. Did I mention that due to extenuating circumstances Alden generously handled my case pro bono? I recommend her very highly.
