A Great Experience
I hired Mr. Hovey when a former employer unfairly refused to pay wages that he owed me. For 14 months, Mr. Hovey walked me through each step of the process of my lawsuit. He always put me at ease and used layman's terminology when speaking to me , although his correspondence to the defendant's lawy...

Best Lawyer Ever
Mr. Hovey was hired after an emergency child custody situation. With three parties involved in this case Mr. Hovey had his hands full from the start. He helped deal with all parties. He called us on a Sunday for an unexpected situation. Mr. Hovey emailed us while away on vacation due to a last...

Experienced, personable, responsive, and reasonable.
Matthew responded to an urgent employment-related issue with just a couple of hours notice and gave me some much needed and very sensible advice. He was patient and understanding when I asked him to explain issues to me as a non-lawyer. I would recommend Matthew because I know that he takes a real i...

Matt is very knowledgeable.
Retained Matt for an unemployment compensation issue. Initial meeting with Matt was very comfortable - he explained all the potential scenarios regarding my case. Matt attended the unemployment hearing with me and he was completely prepared to address all issues.

Top notch legal representation!
Mr. Matthew Hovey helped me with professionalism and kindness. He really cares about his clients and does a great job. I would highly recommend him for all of your needs. If he doesn't personally have a background in your particular legal need, someone at his firm will be able to help. They are all f...
"Mr. Hovey and I litigated a case in Orphans' Court where I got to see his level of experience and preparation. He won the case. I have a lot of respect for Mr. Hovey and highly recommend him for your most sensitive matters. He is an excellent attorney and easy to talk to."
"Matt I have worked together on a number of cases. He's only been with our law firm for a few years and he's already exceeded expectations. I feel comfortable referring any of my clients to him."
"I had the privilege of working in the same law firm as Mr. Hovey for over a year, and during that time I saw firsthand the level of competence, skill and true empathy that Mr. Hovey has for his clients. Mr. Hovey takes the time to truly listen to his clients and understand what they really want out of the case. He takes his role as their advocate extremely seriously. When clients are looking for an amiable resolution, Mr. Hovey can work out a solution with finesse, professionalism and in a way that makes everyone happy. Alternatively, for the clients who feel truly wronged, Mr. Hovey is never afraid to go up against anyone or anything to defend the rights of his clients. For these reasons I strongly recommend Mr. Hovey as your advocate."
"Having worked with Matt for years, I am happy to endorse him. Hiring Matt will get you a knowledgeable and tenacious advocate."
"I have worked closely with Matt on several issues, including zoning and escapement issues for gun clubs/ranges and on general appeals, including family law and currently on an involuntary mental health commitment. Matt's phenomenal writing ability/style and vernacular, in addition to his laid back personalty until he's called upon to defend his position, is a true asset to any client. His unique way of viewing a situation and coming up with alternate options that others overlook has also greatly benefited our clients. If I were faced with a family law, real estate or appellate issue, I would hire Matt without a second thought."
"I have worked with Mr. Hovey since he graduated law school. He has been an excellent resource on family law and gun law matters. What separates Mr. Hovey from other law practitioners in my eyes is his attention to his clients and demeanor. He is able to manage expectations in an area of the law where that is becoming exceedingly difficult and produce outcomes advantageous to his clients."
