A Godsent

From the beginning Doug was extremely professional but also personable making me feel completely at ease. He reassured me from the beginning that I should have no worries and that he would take care of my son who had never been in trouble before. He was prompt to the hearings, everyone knew and had t...he upmost respect for him. I was never in the court room more that 30 min once the gavel hit. My sons case was withdrawn and he was able to go back to school with no worries. Thank you Doug,, you were certainly a blessing. I encourage EVERYONE to hire him for all of your legal matters.

An outstanding Lawyer for your criminal case!

I called Doug 2 weeks before our court date. My boyfriend had gotten arrested with a serious felony heroine charge, he was on probation and i was sure he would see some jail time. I found Mr. Doug under "top-rated criminal-defense attorneys in Philadelphia". I called Doug left a message at 1:30p Doug... called me back at 2:30p in a prompt professional fashion. Not only did i meet with him that same day, but i paid him and he assured me everything was going to be ok. Doug was firm with me my boyfriend wasnt going to jail even though he was on probation? Was all i kept saying to him. Today was our courtdate and our outcome...CASE DISMISSED! It was our first court date and i was a mess! Doug was late but he put in our docket sheet he would be appear so that somewhat settled my nerves. As soon as he walked in a sense of relief came over me and as if im not the last person in the row, sitting on the last seat of the bench I accidentally screamed,"DOUG!" Only to shhhhhhd by every cop sitting in front of me, Doug and probably the judge. Well we were in and out of the courtroom within 15 minutes and our case was completely dismissed. Thank you Mr. Doug! Money paid is money earned.

Unfair, Lazy, and Does not answer phones

I hired this attorney for a DUI. He never wanted to answer his phone and all it did was go to voicemail. He was so hard to track. When it came to court he showed up late and was very unprofessional. I ended up firing him and hiring someone else. He also quoted me very high for my DUI and didn't do an...ything on time. Waste of time. His office is a disaster too

I believe this review to be completely fiction for the following reasons. First off, every call I receive is sent to my cell phone. I either answer it or respond to it via text message. I never wait more than 2 hours to call or text back a client. That is my policy. Second, if I am ever late to court, which is rare, the courtroom, the Judge, and the client are always aware of the fact. I have spent 22 years going to court everyday and enjoy an excellent reputation with every judge in Philadelphia and Montgomery county, PA. Third, My fees especially for DUI cases are very reasonable. I don't know what not doing anything on time means but I welcome the opportunity to speak to the "anonomous" person who posted this review. I also don't know what my office being a disaster means. I maintain a very professional office and try to cater to all my clients in a professional and courteous way. Not everyone can always be satisfied with everyone. Some people simply have it out for you if the case does not go your way. Nothing is guaranteed in the area of criminal defense law, and I am sorry that this person had a bad experience, although I don't know who it might be.

Very poor showmanship

I met with Doug to discuss a case I had several months ago. He insisted that my case was a strong one and we had to act fast! I did exactly what he said and hired him for $2500 cash. I never received a receipt and when I asked for one he said the email exchange between us was "good enough." I tried m...eeting with him several times to discuss any advances in the case to which he never showed up nor picked up my calls. After months of the run around I haven't received any information. I listened to everything he said and acted fast and at no point did I ever feel I was even a priority to him. Make sure you do more research before making the same mistake I did.

This client had a claim that at first looked promising but after investigation it was not the type of case that would have been successful. The underlying case was not fully investigated by the local police department and because of their reluctance to pursue the matter we did not move forward with the case. Communication on my end was complete but could have done a better job keeping up with the client on developments.

BEST CRIMINAL LAWYER IN PHILADELPHIA

Doug Dolfman represented my boyfriend in a major drug case, he was referred to us by a friend of ours that he had gotten early parole. Mr. Dolfman visited my boyfriend in prison the very first weekend after being retained. He kept us informed at all times by updating me on the phone and he always re...sponded quickly to letters. Doug was very passionate, and displayed an extensive knowledge of Philadelphia Law and the Justice System. I was extremely happy with the outcome of my boyfriend's case, after Doug got some of the charges dismissed, most of the time he received was time-served. During the time my boyfriend was incarcerated I was very worried and scared but Doug's staff was always very kind, patient, caring and helpful. Overall Doug is definitely the BEST CRIMINAL LAWYER IN PHILADELPHIA!
