Whistleblowers and Civil Rights Victims Beware

I was represented by Scott Goldshaw and his partner for more than 12 years as a whistleblower. Over that time, they got to know my character well—something even recognized by the judge during trial. After prevailing in the case, I lost my job, career, health, and safety to retaliation. When I sought ...their help again, I was told to “move on,” left completely abandoned while they collected nearly a million dollars in fees from my case. Since then, I have faced further violence, blacklisting, and threats, and made every effort to provide them with documentation and updates about my continued struggle for justice—including filings before the Supreme Court of the United States. Scott refused to even review what I had filed or learn what has happened to me since, dismissing my request for a simple statement or amicus letter. I now know that the abandonment I felt after my case was not just a suspicion—it’s now confirmed by his unwillingness to acknowledge the harm or even review the facts. If you are a whistleblower or civil rights plaintiff, be warned: this firm profited from my work, then left me alone and unheard. Justice shouldn’t end the moment a case concludes. As seasoned civil rights and whistleblower advocates, they know exactly what retaliation looks like. Scott knows better, and his response is morally bankrupt.

First experience using a lawyer, would definitely use him again!

I was referred to Scott to help review an executive contract for a new position- he was amazing! I'd never used a lawyer and did not expect such a warm experience. While I anticipated it to be very transactional Scott is incredibly empathic and takes the time to explain his thought process to be su...re it makes sense. Scott also made sure to understand my situation before he spent the time reviewing my contract- he didn't want to spend his time and therefore my money if he didn't think he could help. He listens and considers your view- while he gives advice he also navigates the situation pivoting when considering new information/ideas you have. Scott also takes the time to check in on you periodically during what is a complex emotional time when changing jobs. Scott is also incredibly accessible- he took the time to meet with me on a weekend because he was going to be on holiday during a weekday, he didn't want to leave me hanging while he was away. He also responds quickly to emails. Scott demonstrated he cares a lot about the well being of his clients, it is easy to speak with him and ask questions- this was important for me since I know very little about law/litigation. I would definitely use Scott again and highly recommend him without reservation to others.

Education, Consultation, Negotiation

I engaged/retained this firm after having trying to engage 3 other attorneys — who ghosted. My first contact was with Andi Paul who explained the process and set the tone that Id be working with decent human beings who would not merely treat this as a transaction. Scott Goldshaw was the only person I... had to recount my situation — no repeating over and over. Scott provided some education that facilitated our having a common language and expedited our work. He consulted with me — establishing goals and expectations. We worked out an efficient process of collaboration where we shared resources and documents. Scott has a breadth of knowledge about the law and also various organizations in Phila - he is also known for litigating in court - which is a distinct advantage. But what was most important to me at this time was that, as Andi foreshadowed, this was consistently a human interaction. Importantly, it was reassuring to work with a lawyer who was familiar with PTSD. Every interaction was humanistic, trustworthy, and kind. The conclusion met our goals quickly.

THE BEST

Simply the best attorney as well as the best person. Scott assisted in a legal case for us in 2017 and he could not have been more generous with his time and his expertise. Highly recommend this young man.

Scott Goldshaw is, simply put, the strongest Employment Attorney. Seriously.

I'll explain. First things first - Scott got me a 6 figure settlement in an employment dispute I had. Before hiring him, I spoke with other attorneys, and no one was able to understand the situation nearly as well as Scott did, and no one better understood the stresses this was putting on my fam...ily. After I hired him, I don't know a better word to use - he was magnificent. My ex-employer is huge. My allegations of unethical behavior were very serious. So they had the resources and incentive to fight me hard. And they did. They brought both their in-house lawyers and hired external attorneys from a very big name law firm to come at me. Scott outmaneuvered them like he was Neo from the Matrix, effortlessly dodging bullets. It was almost spooky sometimes, he anticipated what they were going to do long before they did it, and his brilliant/aggressive tactics were therefore that much more effective. He also continually was thinking about my allegations against the company. He knew that was important to me to ensure the unethical behavior ended. And because of that, it was important to him. We were 100% successful. Scott is a very nice guy, but there are lots of nice people out there. What makes Scott unique is he would always tell me what I needed to hear, not what I wanted to hear. Sometimes I would get emotional and overreach, and he would clearly let me know what I was doing was not helpful to achieving our goals. He would clearly tell me about the advantages and disadvantages of different options, and let me decide based on what was more valuable and important to me. With Scott as your attorney, your stress level will dramatically drop. He is on top of everything, and stays cool and calculating at all times. He will outhink opposing counsel and be as aggressive as necessary to be maximally effective. Most importantly he will be looking out for you - your financial situation, your stress level, and what's overall best for you and the people most important to you. Only the strongest Employment Attorney can excel in all these areas. Scott Goldshaw is, simply put, the strongest Employment Attorney.
