Thank you, Mr. Hartt.
James Hartt was a pleasure to work with. He represented me in a difficult workplace case and successfully negotiated an agreeable settlement. He was the consummate professional, responsive and guiding. I am forever grateful and recommend him without reservation.

Mr. Hartt apologized to me REPEATEDLY for his poor performance- Mr. Hartt apologized to me for failing to return numerous phone calls and emails from me, which led to increased stress for me with no information on the status of my case or feedback. After agreeing to represent me at the unemploymen...
This comment is indicative of a client who is, quite simply, paranoid and who lacks gratitude for what I did for them. I am 99% certain who left this comment, and if I am correct, I was able to negotiate for this particular client a very favorable settlement. Most of my clients are grateful and wonderful people. Some clients, unfortunately, will tend to second guess a settlement that was made willingly, and enthusiastically, under the misguided belief they could have obtained more after a jury trial. This client received a significant amount of money after hard-fought mediation, and was extremely grateful at the time of the mediation.

Highly Recommended
I highly recommend working with James for employment severance or termination agreements. He helped me a lot when I left a high ranking position at a well known company in Manhattan.

Handled my case with care, competence and expertise.
James Hartt handled my employment case with gusto. He was a fighter when he had to be. But he as also a gentleman throughout. He is kind (a rare thing for lawyers these days) and he achieved all of my goals and met all of my expectations. I would refer friends and family to him without hesitation.

very disappointed
I had a hearing with my employer, and U.S.Equal Employment Opportunity. I paid Mr. Hartt, $1,000.00. I was more prepared, than Mr. Hartt. I lost money. I would have been, to go, to the hearing by myself !! Mr. Hartt, didn't advise me, in anyway. I was 62 years old, and lost my job, because of ...
The client in question hired me for the limited purpose of representing her at an EEOC mediation ("not a hearing"). Her case was not strong at all as the employer had a legitimate performance-related reason for terminating her, completely independent of her age. At the mediation, she admitted to the wrongdoing, (a very serious issue that could have endangered the health and safety of customer) and sabotaged her own case with ranting diatribes at the mediation. Nevertheless, if I recall, the case settled. She signed the settlement agreement agreeing to the terms thereof. Nobody forced her to settle. I did my job and consider her review to be nothing short of defamatory.
