I know a lot of lawyers and have used lots of lawyers. It’s concerning and scary as a guy getting divorced that I would get the short end of the stick. Michael Barrows fought for me like I couldn’t even imagine. I honestly believe no other attorney could have done a better job than Mike and I am s...o happy I used him.

This is my second review of Mike after custody decision was finalized. The first one was prior to trial and appeal. I hired Mike when I was in disastrous situation. I had an OP against me, I could not get access to my daughter, petitions for the sole custody and child support was filed... by my ex. After the first court appearance with Mike, OP was removed and I got temporary residential Custody. Right after, my ex created a criminal case against me. Mike helped me promptly to get all criminal charges dismissed and I got full temporary custody of the child. Custody battle last over 2 years and all this time Mike was a grate help for me. After Custody hearing that by itself last for a year I got permanent full Custody of the child despite that we got a new judge. Again, it would be impossible to achieve without Mike’s A year later, we won an appeal filed by my ex. It is not very common in our days that fathers get full custody especially when mothers do not overuse drugs or alcohol but I got it with grate Mike’s help. Mike often gave me advises that saved me time and money. For example, he ended up the hearing right in time despite that I thought more time is required to bring more witnesses to convince the judge. Mike available when I need him and answers to my messages / phone calls in time. His promptness saved me in number of situations in my high-conflict divorce. He was transparent to me, did not hide anything. Mike is a good strategist. For example, I accepted one of his advises that was not beneficial to me in a short term but played well at the end. Mike was transparent to me, did not hide anything. It does not mean that I put my fate in lawyer’s hands and stop thinking myself. I knew what I wanted and use Mike’s sharp mind, professional skills and experience of a trial lawyer in order to achieve the desirable outcome. Even now, after custody is finalized Mike supports me by providing advise when I need it. I give my thumbs up to Mike!

Having gone through a prior divorce some years back, I needed a new lawyer. My prior lawyer retired. While my prior lawyer was okay; Michael was and is par excellence when it comes to professionalism, knowledge and legal advice. He has helped me countless times to navigate the murky waters left ov...er from my previous divorce as well as providing representation and support for current matrimonial actions. Before I hired my previous attorney, I had interviewed someone else. I found her poorly attentive to my needs. Since the retirement of my former attorney I interviewed another lawyer but found him woefully unprepared to answer the complex legal issues I was facing. I know it is hard and somewhat expensive to find the right person, I can honestly say that I have worked with three prior attorneys before finding him and he is by far the best I have found yet. What makes Michael so good are a few things that I would like to specify: First and foremost, he is a very nice person and I feel comfortable with him. Secondly, he has a deep knowledge of the law and a lot of experience in the court system. He knows everybody which is very important. Thirdly, he is very strategic in his approach. Obviously, he works both sides of the matrimonial issue so with each legal step he calculates what is the countermeasure the opposing team will to based on his experience. I bet he is very good in chess! Lastly, Michael is a straight shooter. He has told me many times, "Forget it doc, you're not gonna win on that one." Think about that. He could have easily said, as many less scrupulous lawyers would do, "Let's enter this or that motion, and I think you have a good chance...." That would have definitely have brought him more income, but he has morals and will tell you what is the right or wrong move for your individual situation without bankrupting you financially and emotionally. Finally, he is not all about clocking this and clocking that. Granted, he needs to make a living and he is worth his fee, but he is not going to nickel and dime you to death. You will not regret your decision to hire Michael Barrows.

Mr. Barrows from the very beginning set me at ease. He guided and informed me of the ins and outs of family court and never talked down to me but educated me on my own case! The results were that I got the money owed to me from my ex and negotiated a settlement for future monies needed for my specia...l needs son. If not for him I would have given in and gotten nothing. Very simply put he was just amazing!!! Thank you Mr. Barrows.
