The best!

In 2019, I experienced a job loss that turned my life upside down. I knew I had to make a major financial decision and I’m so happy that I got to work with Jay. He was so understanding, knowledgeable and empathetic throughout the entire process. He made sure I was informed each step of the way, and f...or that I always felt confident in my decision. It’s been about two years since I’ve worked with him and by using his advice, I am in a much better financial standing. He helped me get back on track and I am forever grateful. I highly recommend working with Jay if you are ever in the same situation as me.

Excellent Attorney

Filing for bankruptcy can be unsettling. Therefore, choosing a good attorney to advise and lead you through the process is important, as important as choosing a good doctor or dentist. After talking to a close friend about my distressing financial situation, he recommended that I do a bankruptcy and ...he mentioned Jay Simon. I was reluctantly to pursue this course but gradually persuaded to file. Each time, we talked, he kept mentioning Jay Simon’s name. I called Mr. Simon and he explained the process in detailed, answering all my questions. After several months, I called him and asked him to file on my behalf. The bankruptcy process requires gathering financial information, documentation, taking two online classes, one of which has an exam and finally, answering questions from a trustee about your finances. This meeting is extremely important for getting your debts discharged, so you want to be prepared to answer questions about your finances in a concise matter. If you have or recently had many assets or assets of immense value, you need a good attorney to explain things to you. On the day of my Creditors Meeting – a telephone conference call involving the trustee and bankruptcy filers – I was able to hear the questioning of six filers before the trustee called my case. The filers are on the call with their respective attorneys. Of the six filers, one only one seemed prepared to answer the trustee’s questions. I could hear the anger/frustration in the voice of the trustee as he questioned each filer, who didn’t listen to his questions or provide clear answers. My case when very smoothly, relative to the other cases. This happened because my attorney, Jay Simon properly filed and prepared me for the bankruptcy process. At the end of the Creditors Meeting, it was evident to me, that the attorneys on the call had not properly prepared their clients for the interview, which can be nerve-racking. The bankruptcy process is not just about filing a petition to discharge debts. In my case, Jay Simon walked me through process. Taking my hand – figuratively – each step, giving good guidance and advice. His direction and words of reassurance made the process go smoothly. I do not normally recommend anyone unless I am thoroughly impressed with their work. For bankruptcy filers, I am more than willing to strongly recommend Jay Simon.

Best of the Bests

Mr. Jay Simon is the best attorney ever. I needed an attorney to file chapter 7 bankruptcy case so I started searching on yelp & google but it was very confusing. He has all 5 star rating on all sites. Spoke to 2/3 attorneys but not impressed. Finally called jay and the conversation I had with him I ...felt my search was over and I set up an appointment with him real soon. When I reached his office he was very pleasant, warm & welcoming. From that point onwards he took over my case right there n then. I sat in his office for 2 hours or so n he took all the info. He made the process very easy. He bedside manner and communication is amazing. He communicates fast and keeps you updated unlike other attorneys who are nowhere to be found once the payment is made. He gives thorough instructions via email what’s the next step and how to prepare. He gives his undivided attention and answer phone calls during the visit. I will highly recommend Mr jay. I feel so lucky to find him. All the reviews he earned are so Well Deserved. On my 2nd visit to his office I noticed so many Thank You cards from customers. He goes Above and Beyond. Just go jay as there is no one comparable to him

People Matter

Most of you are going to roll your eyes at a review of a bankruptcy attorney that includes the idea of “saintliness.”  In the case of Jay Simon, such high praise is deserved.  Jay Simon is literally an angel who fell from heaven; a gift from God.    I knew Jay was perfect after my first appointmen...t; I knew I had not only chosen the right attorney but that I had come across one of the better human beings on the planet.  Jay is more than a bankruptcy attorney; he was my counselor, my coach, my cheerleader.  Jay has a sense of kindness and generosity to him.  He was very gracious and friendly and a genuinely warm person.   Jay tries and succeeds in creating a more personal and family-like atmosphere for his clients.  Once you meet with him for the first time, 10 minutes later you feel like you are friends.  He is always positive, always supportive, always caring.  Jay is very attentive to the needs of every one of his clients.  He makes sure everyone of his clients and everything is taken care of.  He treated us as if we were the most important people in his life. Jay really makes a point of going out of his way to be kind and make gestures filled with kindness.  Jay cared for me in a very kind way.  A few examples: While preparing the petition he would talk to me in a calm soothing manner about what was happening, telling me everything about what he was doing and what was going on. He repeatedly stopped and made sure I was comfortable, that I understood things and ask if I had any questions.  After I was filed, he wrote an informative instruction letter for me.  Any question I had, he answered.  He answers his phone personally and is quick to respond to emails.  As a courtesy, he met with me in his office prior to my creditors meeting then escorted me to my court meeting.  Throughout the proceeding,he sent emails updating me about everything in my case, from the filing, to the trustee filing his report, to my getting a discharge.  In addition, he sent reminders prior to the meeting date and instructions about doing the debtor education course.  After I got my discharge, he first called me to inform me that I had received it and then he sent a lengthy advice letter that included a little note thanking me for choosing him to be my attorney and wishing me good luck in life. Jay is magic, a wonderful, adorable person who made my bankruptcy go easy and smooth.  He is also humble, and always treats others with kindness and respect.  When we parted after my meeting, I wanted to stay and hug him and tell him how amazing he was, but I was too embarrassed to do so. The amount of love I have for this man and the job he did for me is insane.  I felt so smothered in support, love, and care that I couldn’t help but smile and hope to repay the favor in some small way.  Jay, thank you for working with me. You are the kindest and coolest and it was and honor.

"I endorse this lawyer. Why? When you have a question, he gives you an answer as if you were across his desk so you understand the law, your options, and the answer to your question. Sometimes on AVVO we see answers to questions that in essence just say to see an attorney which is ok..as that is the ultimate answer. But this attorney will go beyond and try and fully and completely and in my view accurately answer it. Is that not the type of attorney you want? I would hope so and for that reason I endorse him."
