Richard Swartz, Esquire, is a founding member of Swartz Swidler, LLC, a boutique law firm that focuses on employment litigation and counseling in New Jersey and Pennsylvania. Previously, Richard practiced law in the labor and employment departments of Ballard Spahr, Pepper Hamilton, and Blank Rome. Richard received his Juris Doctorate from Temple University School of Law in 1997. While at Temple, he interned for the Honorable Robert S. Gawthrop, III, U.S. District Judge for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania.
Prior to attending law school, Richard received his Bachelor of Arts from the Curtis Institute of Music where he majored in French Horn. He played the French Horn professionally with such organizations as the Opera Company of Philadelphia, the Philly Pops with Peter Nero, the Chamber Orchestra of Philadelphia, the Pennsylvania Ballet, and, as a substitute, with the Philadelphia Orchestra.
Richard is admitted to the Supreme Courts of New Jersey and Pennsylvania, and to the United States District Courts for the District of New Jersey and the Eastern and Middle Districts of Pennsylvania, and to the Third Circuit.
Richard is conversational in Spanish and welcomes the opportunity to brush up on his Spanish with clients. While at Temple, Richard was a member of L.A.L.S.A.

Even though the law firm couldn't take my case they did how ever point me in the right direction and explained to me about what I should do next. I've talked to Richard and he was very understanding. He stated that he couldn't help me but he did. So I say Thank you very much for everything.
