Tanya Helfand opened her first office in 1997 in Rockaway and then a second office in Livingston in 2007. This year the offices were consolidated to a larger location in Whippany on Route 10 to accommodate clients in both locations.

For several years, the Morris County Surrogate has appointed Ms. Helfand as independent counsel in guardianship matters, performing investigations and representing the incompetent individual.
Ms. Helfand has an extensive business background, which is extremely helpful with all the areas of her practice. Ms. Helfand is a business person. Prior to opening her office, she owned retail businesses and has helped professionals with their practices.
Before opening her own firm, Ms. Helfand worked as an associate at the law office of Herman Osofsky, Esq. in Passaic County.
