Divorce and Separation 35%

The process of divorce is initiated by the filing of a Complaint for Divorce in the Superior Court of New Jersey, Chancery Division, Family Part, on either fault or no fault grounds. Most cases are filed now under irreconcilable differences because marital fault is no longer relevant except in the most extreme cases. For more information go to my website at gruberlaw-nj.com

Mark Gruber is the Best Family Attorney I have had.

Thank you so much for pressing me to move forward with my case. After 12 years of motions, I never thought to would have received anything. You were very impressive during the trial. I have hired 3 different attorneys through the years and had seen the defendant’s attorneys. None come close to yo...u. I will always refer others to you. Thank you Mark! Kimberly

I found him to be completely incompetent and not worth my time.

Mark Gruber was a horrible attorney choice for me. He billed $50,000. to represent me for my divorce- and was only my attorney for 3 months before we parted ways! During that time, he diddled around and represented me at a motion hearing (I will be generous and say it was 3 billable hours). He was so... poorly prepared,- it was as if he never even looked at what the motion was about. I sent him multiple items for evidence,- to the point where he actually called me and told me to stop sending him things! When we got to court- he didn't bring any of them, The judge asked for multiple items as evidence. Each item (except 1 item) was sent to, what I believe to be, an incompetent attorney,- who was not able to produce them in court because he didn't bring them. Would it suprise you to learn we lost? I found him to be lazy. For example, instead of looking up records himself,- he would call our adversary for information. This can be problematic becauses it discloses what you are focusing on to the other party. I can tell you many, many more reasons not to hire this Law Firm,- but there is not enough space here. A divorce is difficult enough,- your attorney should not be part of the difficulties! Go elsewhere. Anywhere. If ever there was a zero star award category- I nominate Mr. Gruber as it's first recipient!

Extremely Qualified Family Lawyer- The Very Best!

I am so thankful that I found Mark Gruber to represent me at the most tumultuous and vulnerable time in my life. Mark's patience, kindness, and understanding meant so much to me during such a difficult divorce with a high conflict ex and a very young child. Mark's expertise in family law superseded... any divorce lawyer, which were 3 lawyers that I previously worked with. In fact he was superior to not only them, but far superior to the adversary lawyer. When I reached a point without hope that my divorce would ever be resolved with a fair agreement after 2.5 years and no settlement in sight, it was Mark Gruber that stepped up to the plate to fix it through his integrity, intelligence, and honesty. Not only does Mark have knowledge and expertise in family law, he is unmatched as a trial lawyer. Mark truly is the best lawyer anyone can have the privilege of working with!

Mark the Shark

If being a divorce lawyer was an Olympic sport this man deserves a gold medal. I really wish that everyone except my ex could be blessed with such a great attorney. Mark Gruber’s knowledge of divorce law is unsurpassed. After over 40 years of practicing he still loves family law. The other day I ha...d to call him for something and the first words out of his mouth after I asked him how he could do this for a living were “I love helping people through their divorce.” He does and it shows. I thought about getting a quickie divorce without an attorney but I’m glad I didn’t. I hired him after a phone call without meeting him and the results were immediate and life changing. Getting divorced is never easy. There are a lot of details in a divorce that require a skilled attorney. If you have children, assets or retirement benefits it is important to make sure these are taken care of properly by someone who knows what their doing. There were so many times I couldn’t take it anymore because of unprofessional attorneys and considered giving in and giving up but I’m glad I listened to him and persevered. Besides being very knowledgeable about the law, he has great relationships with other attorneys which helps when negotiating settlements. He never loses his cool. His skills in the courtroom are also impressive. He never raised his voice or was disrespectful even though the opposing attorney unsuccessfully tried to pull every dirty unethical trick in the book to win. I filed for divorce twice before with other attorneys and stayed in a horrible marriage for nearly 20 years. Finally, I got divorced and I feel much better. I really believe he is the best. I was so glad I hired Mr. Gruber, even happier that my ex didn’t.

Client

Mark Gruber is the only attorney you should hire if you are getting divorced. Don’t even think of using anyone else. “I want you to make sure you get the divorce you want” These are the words that Mark Gruber said to me when I expressed to him I didn’t care and just wanted out fast. I couldn’t b...elieve how hard he worked. He has been practicing family law over 40 years and he still can’t wait to get into court. He gets along really well with other attorneys which helps when negotiating marital settlements. I filed for divorce two other times My only regret is that I didn’t hire him the first time. Unfortunately I stayed married for almost 20 years.
