I was erroneously charged by the MV Commission of not having insurance on my automobile. This ensued as I switched Insurance companies. Although my new Insurance Company sent a confirmation of my insurance to the DMV, [it] did not recognize my legal hyphenated sur-name on the policy. Previously, whe...n I renewed my driver's license I requested they use my legal name. They refused and used one capital letter as if it were my middle name. This created a snowballing of problems when I changed insurance companies. Although the Driver License ID, date of birth and address were the same on my new insurance, the clueless DMV issued a summons, froze my registration, threatened a large fine and cessation of my Driver's license. I was extremely fortunate that the Law Firm I choose to help me with this frightening dilemma assigned my case to Matthew Dorry, Esq. He listened, he advised and then he set out to rectify this erroneous situation. The most upsetting part of this was, I was pulled over by the police in the midst of this nightmare on my way to a doctor. I was told I had to park my car in the closest parking lot and leave it there, as I was not in the system and driving illegally. The officer even made me contact my insurance company so he could verify I had insurance. They did; but, it didn't change anything until Matthew Dorry got involved. I am so grateful for his calm approach to allay my fears, his immediate action to get this resolved and his representation of me in court. He made a horrific experience less intimidating as I realized he was there at all times on my behalf. If Matthew Dorry represents you- you are definitely in excellent hands. He's the best.
