I am a New Jersey certified criminal trial lawyer. This means that I am considered by the New Jersey Supreme Court to be an expert in criminal defense. I am also board-certified by the National Board of Trial Advocacy. I am one of only four lawyers in New Jersey to hold both certifications. Domestic violence

A genius

Joseph Rotella, "Dual Certified" is the best lawyer you could ever have. Mr. Rotella got my 2nd DWI nocked down to unsafe driving abd a $300 fine at my first appearance. He is great.

An Excellent Attorney Any-day.

I got myself into a serious legal issue attempting to assist an associate and was looking at a felony with some jail time. The case was previously dismissed but additional charges filed by an aggressive prosecutor. We leaned on Joe from a recommendation by our previous attorney. Joe was amazing from our first meeting and subsequently provided the best legal representation beyond our expectations. Joe was smart, diligent, focused, knowledgeable and excellent in his handling of my case. He was always prepared for all hearings and commanded respect and admiration from judges and judicial workers alike. His briefs were brilliant and straight to the core of my case. He got most of the charges dismissed securing 18 Months’ probation instead of jail time. I appreciative Joe’s absolute dedication and commitment to my case and do owe him my life. Not just highly recommended, would recommend no one else!

Mr. Rotella is a fantastic attorney who delivers favorable results. My son was arrested on a disorderly conduct charge and Mr. Rotella was able to downgrade it to the municipal level, and during the court case that followed, convincing proved that there were no verifiable witnesses and got the charge thrown out. He and his office delivered an outcome that was life changing, I highly recommend this attorney over any other.

Great Lawyer

If I could point everyone to Mr Joseph Rotella I would. After reading a few of his reviews the spirit told me to hire him and I called him. Life Saver

Joseph represented me on a criminal matter back in June 2020. I’m satisfied with his legal services. This was my very first experience in the legal system. Although the charges against me were utterly fictitious (ex-girlfriend fabricating a story), I still experience the emotional roller coaster of not knowing what’s next. Joseph went into action the moment I retained his services. Joseph quickly requested any evidence that I had that can support my defense. Joseph was able to amend to indictable charge to municipal court then ultimately resulting in case dismissal. Amazing defense attorney

Certified Criminal Trial Attorney

Mr. Rotella was able to get my case reduced from a felony to a municipal ordinance (which is not a criminal charge). He returned my phone calls promptly and always made time to discuss and explain the matter at hand. He was extremely conscious of my concerns and eased me through an emotionally jarring experience. Best and Most Trusted Lawyer

Amazing Lawyer

I first called Joseph Rotella in-order to refer a friend who was in need of a lawyer, and soon after I sadly also needed legal advice and counsel. Although I will not go into any of the specifics of the case Mr. Rotella handled the entire ordeal with the utmost respect, courtesy, and care. The results of his efforts were profound and later proved my innocence and allowed for a dismissal. Mr. Rotella outlined the circumstances of my situation realistically and then rebutted with a course of action to solve my problem.
