Joe represented me for a few cases over the years and he was very professional and very knowledgeable and I was very happy with the results of each case. He got my first case dismissed outright. Another case he got about 8 different charges and violations down to a DUI. The last case I was charged wi...th an aggravated assault and endangering the life of a victim for pushing a guy while I was bouncing at a bar. The man ended up being found in some bushes with a serious head injury the following morning and they put the blame on me. This went on for 2 years and we could not come to an agreement for a plea deal so we went to trial. I was looking at 8-15 years with a minimum of 85% served in state prison for pushing a man who had threatened me and spit on me. Joe didn’t believe the charge was fair and he fought hard for me. When your life is in someone else’s hands, you can be highly aware of every little thing they do or don’t do and you can be very critical but I always felt safe in Joe’s hands. He was much more experienced than the prosecutor and it was very obvious from the beginning. He’s the type of lawyer that gets on the good side of the judge, the good side of the jury and i saw that he was very well respected by the prosecutor. In other words, he fights hard for you but he doesn’t make enemies which ends up benefiting you since your representation makes a big difference in how everyone judges you. He knows when to push and when to back off so that people are on your side and that made a huge difference in my case. In the end, the jury found me guilty of simple assault- mutually entering into a fight and I was fined $250. After originally looking at two different felonies and 8-15 years! Because of Joe, I am a free man and i thank God every day. It’s been over a year since that case and I have been able to completely turn my life around. Thank you for all that you did for me Joe. Oh and one more thing- Joe told me not to even talk to the police when they first asked me to come in. I thought I would be fine because I was justified in pushing the guy and I didn’t want to spend the money on hiring a lawyer so, like an idiot, I made the decision to talk to the cops. Everyone else told me to just talk to the police and I would be fine-my bouncing boss, my coworkers, the club owners, my friends, etc. Even my friend’s brother who is a lawyer! Had I listened to Joe in the first place they wouldn’t have even had enough evidence on me to go to trial. I hope to God I never need Joe again but you can sure as hell bet I have his number on speed dial and his card in my wallet just in case.
