Reading lawyer reviews means you may have gotten the same type of crap phone call we did.... left a good kid at the college door with the promise of great grades and smart decisions... 2 days later we need a lawyer... pot charge for us… wtf. Every review for JD Law is 5 stars because 6 stars was not an option. Never needed or thought we would ever need a lawyer... searching and reading reviews we found and emailed Jason on the blind and in a panic on that Saturday night... we are thankful we did. There is always a price to pay… but Jason was VERY fair and well worth every penny for his service. Jason is a family man, lives around and has his office at State College... he knows the people and the Penn State legal system exceptionally well... he will be understanding, honest and caring about whatever your issue is and what to expect as an outcome. He has seen, unfortunately far too many times, that a lot of these new kids on campus can make a poor decision… and he helped ours get through this and get back on track. Jason can’t make that cringe go away every time we get an odd timed phone call or how I want to throw up every time I think about this... but Jason made sure another good kid got a second chance on a bad decision... and as a family we all learned from it. I have consulted Jason for a DUI case, and since the beginning he has always been available and has always put in the time to explain things clearly. I can’t even begin to say how much research I put into reading reviews to find the right lawyer to handle my not so easy case. I had a horrible driving record from my past with prior DUI’s and now years later I was once again facing serious charges. The first most important thing I found when I was searching for an attorney was that there are lawyers with law degrees and then there are Lawyers with law degrees that know how the law works and are respected by the court! I found that Jason is not afraid to take on challenges and I seen firsthand that he even has the respect court system here. He was able to inform the ADA and explain to them that I had a new life and started a family and that I was not the same person I was years back. He was able to find a good resolution for all involved. This was not easy because of prior record but he got it done! I knew Jason did great work based on what he did for my roommate back in 2012. This year (2017) when it came to light that my own lawyer from the same incident had failed to followup on my case and did not complete my expungement, I turned to Jason. First it was just an SOS; I couldn't find my original lawyer, didn't know how to proceed, and no other legal group had been very helpful. Jason jumped right in, advised me that the path I was heading down was wrong, and so I hired him to finish the job that my first lawyer failed to complete. He was courteous, sympathetic, prompt, and was in regular contact with me, updating me and making sure I received copies of everything. He and his team got the job done thoroughly and quickly. They cleaned up someone else's mess and put my life back on track. I cannot recommend Jason Dunkle highly enough. He's a fantastic lawyer and a truly good person. He does what he does to help people. When my wife and I received that dreaded call from our son at Penn State regarding a lapse in judgment I did what any parent (whose father happens to be an attorney) would do. I needed to retain a top notch attorney. So I did my thorough and exhaustive research which lead me to Jason Dunkle. That is the only credit I can take - the rest belongs to Jason and his staff. He was exceptionally proactive, responsive and above all else supportive and understanding. After receiving the dreaded call from our son informing us he received a public drunkenness citation at a tailgate, we weren't sure what our next steps should be. Living eight hours away, it was extremely difficult. I had an attorney friend in State College that I hadn't seen in many years, but called him for some advice. My son needed help , he made some poor choices. Jason was there for us, he explained everything in detailed and was able to aide us with a favorable outcome.
