Irwin Dennis Tubman

Mr. Tubman was hired due to his licensure in NY as well as NJ, where I needed estate wirk to be performed. He outsourced the NY work to a friend without my approval or awareness. He is a terrible communicator, either not getting back to me or when he did told me continously he was in court. He infor...med me he doesnt read his emails. He's a abrasive and gives you little time after receiving his retainer. He's more of an aggravation than the legal matters at hand. Do not even think of hiring him.

I had a consultation with him. I chose not to hire him because he was rude and disrespectful to me. The case involved wills and probate, but I could never even finish a sentence without an insult following. I only dealt with him for a consultation and i am glad i did not hire him. I do not recomm...end him.

I retained Irwin for my divorce! I can tell you he is blunt, sometimes tells you what you did do not want to hear or accept, but he is honest! I have bumped heads with him over issues, only to realized after he was right! I am just in the beginning of my divorce, when I retained Irwin my husband ha...d locked me out of all of our business assets/funds! I was a wreck when I first went to him having no means of financial support, Irwin jumped into action upon retaining him! He did an emergency order for support and fought with the opposition to get me a monthly support amount he felt I was entitled too. The monthly support amount he got me awarded far exceeded my expectations, so far he has done a wonderful job! Irwin is one hell of a litigator and does not back down! After seeing him fight for me in court as he did, I know I got the best of the best!!! I can sleep easy knowing he is on my side, when I went to Irwin I was a victim of domestic violence! I no longer feel like a victim! Irwin had my complaint for divorce filed and docketed quickly, so I do not know what the other guy is talking about in his review about not being divorced yet? I do not expect to be rich upon the outcome of my divorce but I have full confidence that Irwin will get me a fair settlement as so that I can start my life over!!! I would highly recommend him to anyone going through a tough divorce be! Irwin fought for me as if I was a family member, that is the day I no longer felt like a victim!! He did not allow my husband & his attorney to bash me or belittle me, when they tried he stopped them in their tracks real quick! He is fierce! ! I would rather an honest attorney who tells you the truth which you may not like at times, then one who promises everything and you end up with nothing! I will say it again, his litigation skills are quite impressive!! I keep replaying in my head how he stood his ground in court over the monthly amount he felt I deserved against the opposition! I have never been so impressed! Irwin took no crap from the opposition and told them how it is going to be!

Do not make the mistake of hiring him. I hired him for my divorce case due to recommendation from family friend which was the biggest mistake I made. He drained my retainer within a month of taking over my case. He would yell at me and made me more stressed out. He never sent me any correspondence of... what he is sending to the other lawyer and kept charging me money for something I didnt even give him consent for. He is very rude and not professional at all. Please do not make the mistake of hiring him.

I consuted him in January about an inheritance (Trust and estate) matter. He did nothing useful, did not contact Surrogate Court, which is the most important thing he could have done. However, he did use up his retainer very quickly. He spoke to me disrespectfully yelled at me, even actually cal...led me "honey". More than once I received mail meant for other clients. He would promise to get back to me and never follow up. But most importantly, he did not inspire any confidence whatsoever and seemed unfamiliar with this area of law he which he supposedly specialized in. When I was served improperly by opposing counsel, he seemed completely unsure of what to do. He was the first lawyer I ever raised my voice to and the first one I ever fired and I am so glad I did
