I rarely write reviews at all. But what happened today just blew up my mind. I saw a PROFESSIONAL who really knows what he is doing. I had a ticket for speeding (30 miles over) and there was no questions to me from a judge after Melvin ask all the tricky questions to a police officer. Really? His... experience as a prosecutor definitely helps. Will no go in details but highly recommend. Haven't seen such a confident attorney for a while (and unfortunately I have some experience in this field). All my friends will go with Melvin for sure. Great job and THANK YOU.

Attoney Melvin Heard is a great man, very down to Earth. He followed up immediately after my first inquiry through the Avvo website. To make the story short, I was caught speeding with Lidar and from there in my head I thought I was screwed, that there was no way I could win if I appealed. I was ...caught speeding before also with Lidar and lost miserably by myself. Attoney Heard, broke down the situation for me and calmed me down. He took the time to get to know me and figure out what kind of person I was. He made himself available 24/7 which really helped me get a grasp of myself and calm down. Fast forward to the hearing, I am sitting there waiting and shaking like a nervous wreck. Once again Attorney Heard calmed me down and told me he will handle everything, which he did. I received a speeding ticket a few months ago. I am skeptical by nature and was not sure about hiring Attorney Heard as his reviews seemed too good to be true. However, I have had a clean driving record for many years and wanted to keep it that way so I decided to hire him, but kept my expectations o...f the outcome low. Attorney heard spent about an hour with me going over the events of that day as well as getting to know me as a person. He built a case that portrayed me in the best light possible. He then brought this with us to the hearing and much to my surprise I was found not responsible. The court was very responsive to his approach. I am still amazed at how this worked. I have represented myself in prior speeding ticket cases and the difference in how the court treats you with an experienced attorney by your side versus representing your own case is astounding. I had a hearing to show up with a clean drivers record at a court in Mass, but I had moved to Pittsburgh. Although Mel had fought the case for me and appeared the first time, he asked me not to worry, and actually went on my behalf to the court. I didn't even have to travel. Not only that, I hadn't r...eceived my record in the mail, so he made them retain the dismissal till I received the proper documents. Once i received them, he showed up a SECOND time to present them, and finally completely dismiss my ticket!! Did I mention he didn't charge a dime for the two runs to court he did for me after first representing me? I hired Mr. Heard for my speeding ticket because of all of the great reviews and am happy I did so. He really takes the time to know you and know the circumstances of your case. He always makes himself available at any time, at your convenience. he goes over your case as many times as you need until... you feel comfortable. He is very professional and funny at the same time, so you feel comfortable dealing with him. Would definitely recommend him for traffic violations.
