Mr. Durden is a practicing trial attorney with expertise in various areas of the law. His law practice focuses in the areas of Criminal Law, Consumer Bankruptcy Law, Personal Injury Law, Civil Rights Litigation, Worker's Compensation, and SSDI Disability Appeals.

His criminal defense and trial experience includes the representation of hundreds of accused individuals in the courts of Massachusetts from arraignment to trial. He has handled cases involving domestic abuse, assault, drug possession, drug distribution, school zone violations, 209A violations, larceny, and insurance fraud.

Mr. Durden has been a panel attorney for two criminal defense bar advocacy programs in Massachusetts, Suffolk Lawyers for Justice, Inc. and Middlesex Defense Attorneys, Inc. since 2006 and has zealously represented hundreds of accused individuals succesfully in the courts of Massachusetts. In 2014 he was selected by the American Society of Legal Advocates (ASLA) as one of the Top 40 Under 40 Criminal Defense Attorneys in the state of Massachusetts.

In his consumer bankruptcy practice he represents debtors seeking protection under the federal bankruptcy laws under Chapter 7, 13, and 11 of the U.S. Bankruptcy Code. He routinely advises on foreclosure, tax liens, wage garnishments, and executions and assists clients in receiving discharges of their debts. His practice also involves advising small business owners in financial distress and clients seeking to wind up a business and obtain discharges of personal guarantees in bankruptcy. He is also experienced in assisting clients in resolving tax problems with both the IRS and the Massachusetts Department of Revenue.

Mr. Durden's civil litigation practice is a general practice that includes personal injury, worker's compensation, social security and disability law, and civil rights litigation. In his civil rights practice, he routinely advises clients of their rights in cases involving police misconduct, prosecutorial misconduct, discrimination, wrongful convictions, and first amendment violations.

Mr. Durden received his Juris Doctor from the University of Chicago Law School in 2002 where he was a Harry N. Wyatt Scholar and his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Economics, magna cum laude, from Northeastern University in 1998. Mr. Durden is a member of the Boston Bar Association and often volunteers his legal services through the Boston Bar Association's Volunteer Lawyer's Project. He is also a member of the Consumer Bankruptcy Committee of the Boston Bar Association.

He is admitted to practice in all courts in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, the U.S. District Court, District of Massachusetts and the United States Tax Court.

He lives with his wife and children on the South Shore of Massachusetts.
